A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the applicable cargo-compartment door.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position at the applicable control panel of the cargo loading system.
(5) Make sure that the light switch of the forward and/or aft cargo compartment is in the "ON" position.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Examine the installation area of the power drive unit (PDU) for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
(2) Examine the PDU roller for cracks or other damages:
(a) Make sure that the rubber of the roller assy is not separated or loose.
(c) Use the ES750-51 GAUGE-ENDPIECE as necessary to examine the allowable diameter of the PDU rubber wear, the tool is a "NO-GO" gauge.
(d) If the tool gives the result "NO-GO", replace the roller.
(e) If necessary, remove the related roller assy and install a new one (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-26-000-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-26-400-002).
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of all screws.
(b) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the contact surface of the roller tracks.
(c) Apply a layer of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the base of the PDU.
Subtask 25-52-26-420-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Examine the installation area of the power drive unit (PDU) for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
(2) Examine the PDU roller for cracks or other damages:
(a) Make sure that the rubber of the roller assy is not separated or loose.
NOTE: Rubber separation is not permitted.
(b) Cuts and cracks in the rubber are permitted. (c) Use the ES750-51 GAUGE-ENDPIECE as necessary to examine the allowable diameter of the PDU rubber wear, the tool is a "NO-GO" gauge.
(d) If the tool gives the result "NO-GO", replace the roller.
(e) If necessary, remove the related roller assy and install a new one (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-26-000-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-26-400-002).
NOTE: Rubber break-outs from the edges of the roller assy are permitted.
(3) Apply materials: (a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of all screws.
(b) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the contact surface of the roller tracks.
(c) Apply a layer of Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the base of the PDU.
B. Installation of the Power Drive Unit (PDU)
(1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the receptacle (4) ESPM 204410.
(4) Put the PDU (3) in the correct installation position on the roller track (6).
(5) Install the PDU (3) with the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
Subtask 25-52-26-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the receptacle (4) ESPM 204410.
(4) Put the PDU (3) in the correct installation position on the roller track (6).
(5) Install the PDU (3) with the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
C. Preparation for the Test
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Lower the XZ-single latches 32.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Set the light switch to off.
(4) Close the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Set the light switch to off.
(4) Close the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
Power Drive Unit
