3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-35-19-860-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
   (3) On the water service panel:
     (a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.

B. At the applicable galley, on the galley control panel, make sure that the related circuit breaker(s) of the steam oven(s) is (are) open, safetied and tagged.
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Steam Oven
F Steam Oven(s) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Put the steam oven (2) in position on the guide rails (4).
   (4) Connect the water supply line:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
  • ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM, OR
  • ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM.
WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE WORK PROCEDURE, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION (WASTE WATER IS DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH).
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Connect the water supply line (3).
   (5) Carefully push the steam oven (2) into the stowage of the galley to connect the electrical connector.
   (6) Install the screws (1).

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Put the steam oven (2) in position on the guide rails (4).
   (4) Connect the water supply line:

   (7) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.22 and 0.18 m.daN (19.47 and 15.93 lbf.in ) T.

B. At the applicable galley, on the galley control panel, remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s), then close the related circuit breaker(s) of the steam oven(s).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (2) Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
