C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the ELEC section of panel 35VU, make sure that the GALLEY or GALY & CAB pushbutton switch (2XA) is pushed (the OFF legend is off).
   (2) On the galley control panel, make sure that the related circuit breaker(s) of the oven is (are) closed.
   (3) Make sure that the door of the oven is closed.
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-35-00-710-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Test of the Oven
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE OVEN WHEN IT IS EMPTY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT OBJECTS OR EQUIPMENT IN FRONT OF THE VAPOR OUTLET. IF VAPOR CANNOT RELEASE FROM THE OVEN, DAMAGE TO THE OVEN CAN OCCUR.
   (1) Make sure that the door of the oven is in the locked position.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the galley control panel:
  • If the master switch is installed, set it to the ON position.

2.On the oven control module, if the outlet is installed:
  • Set the mode switch to the OUTLET position.
  • Set the timer to the necessary time.
On the oven control module:
  • The outlet is energized.
  • Measure the voltage at the outlet or connect an applicable device to the outlet.
  • The power supply is available at the outlet, or if the device is connected, it operates.
  • Set the timer to the zero position.
  • The outlet is de-energized.
3.On the oven control module:
  • If the mode switch is installed, set it to the OVEN position.
    or
    If the OVEN ON pushbutton switch is installed, push it.
  • Set the timer to the necessary time.
  • Push the temperature pushbutton switch and select the temperature.
On the oven control module:
  • In the temperature pushbutton switch, the indicator related to the selected temperature comes on.
  • The CYCLE indicator comes on and stays on until the oven is at the set temperature.
On the oven:
  • The cooking cycle starts.
On the oven control module:
  • The timer moves to the zero position.
  • When the cooking cycle is completed, you can hear the bell of the timer.
  • The indicator in the temperature pushbutton switch goes off.
4.On the oven control module:
  • If the mode switch is installed, set it to the OFF position.
On the oven:
  • The oven is off.
5.On the galley control panel:
  • If the master switch is installed, set it to the OFF position.

A. Do the Operational Test of the Oven
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the oven control panel:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton.
On the oven control module:
  • The LED of the ON/OFF pushbutton comes on.
  • The display shows STANDBY.
2.On the oven control module:
  • Push the MEDIUM pushbutton.
NOTE: -You can change between the different programs with the MEDIUM, LOW and HIGH pushbuttons.
-This test is given for the program MEDIUM. It is equal for the other programs.
On the oven control module:
  • The display shows the standard (default) time for the medium program and the current temperature.
NOTE: You can adjust the default time, if necessary.

On the oven control module:
  • Push the TIME- or the TIME+ pushbuttons to adjust the default time.
On the oven control module:
  • The display shows the adjusted time.
On the oven control module:
  • Push the MEDIUM pushbutton.
On the oven control module:
  • The display shows the current program with the remaining time (counting down) and the current temperature.

On the oven:
  • The fan comes on.
  • The temperature inside the oven increases.
NOTE: Any unusual noises from the fan are not permitted.
3.After the set time:
On the oven control module:
  • A beeper comes on for 15 seconds.
  • The READY LED flashes.
  • The display shows PRESS CLEAR?.

On the oven:
  • The fan goes off.
  • The temperature inside the oven decreases.
On the oven control module:
  • Press CLEAR pushbutton
On the oven control module:
  • The display shows STANDBY.
On the oven control module:
  • Press ON/OFF pushbutton.
On the oven control module:
  • The LED of the ON/OFF pushbutton goes off.
  • The display goes off.
  • Do the steps 2. and 3. again for each program available.

A. Do the Operational Test of the Oven

On the oven control module:
  • The green LED above the ON/OFF pushbutton flashes.
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton.
On the oven control module:
  • The green LED above the ON/OFF pushbutton stops flashing.
  • The display indication comes up.
  • The display shows the airline logo, software version and selftest.
  • The control module starts a selftest.
  • The selftest must be completed without errors.
On the oven control module:
  • The display shows the customer programs.
  • Set and operate the customer programs:
  • Operate customer program PRESET for 1 minute
  • Operate customer program MEDIUM for 2 minutes.
  • Operate customer program HIGH for 2 minutes
On the oven control module:
  • The customer programs must be completed without errors.

A. Operational Test of the Oven
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE OVEN WHEN IT IS EMPTY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Set the program HIGH for 6 minutes without meals.
ACTION
RESULT
1.At the galley control panel:
  • Set the main power switch to the ON position.
On the display:
  • The oven starts a power up test.
  • The display shows the software versions.
  • The green READY light flashes for approximately 3 seconds.
  • After the power up test, the green ON/OFF light flashes.
  • The oven is energized and it is in the OFF mode.
2.On the oven control module:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton switch.
On the display:
  • The backlight of the display comes on.
  • The display shows the airline logo and the software versions while the oven does a self-test.
  • The ON/OFF light flashes during the self-test.
  • If there is an error, the oven control module shows the error.
  • After the self-test, the oven goes into the standby mode.
  • The backlight of the display comes on.
3.On the oven control module:
  • Push the TIME MENU key to set the program to the HIGH mode.

4.On the oven control module:
  • Push the TIME MENU key to set the program to 6 minutes.

5.On the oven control module:
  • Push the START/PAUSE pushbutton switch to start the program.
On the oven control module:
  • The START/PAUSE light comes on.
  • The customer programs must complete without errors.
  • The READY light flashes when the program cycle is completed.

On the display:
  • The display shows the "Program Ready" message.
6.On the oven control module:
  • Push the CLEAR/STOP pushbutton switch.
On the display:
  • The "Program Ready" message goes out of view.
7.On the oven control module:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton switch.
On the display:
  • The backlight of the display goes off.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
WARNING: BEFORE YOU OPERATE THIS UNIT, MAKE SURE THAT THE BAFFLE PLATE IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED. IF IT IS NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED, THE ROTATING FAN CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE OVEN WHEN IT IS EMPTY. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
A. Operational Test of the Oven
(1) Make sure that the door of the oven is in the locked position.
NOTE: If the door is not correctly closed, the display shows the "Close the Door" message.
NOTE: If the master switch is not installed on the galley control panel, the oven starts a power-up test automatically.

RESULT
1.On the galley control panel:
  • If the master switch is installed, set it to the ON position.
On the oven:
  • The oven starts a power-up test.
On the oven control module:
  • The display comes on and shows the software versions.
  • The Ready indicator light comes on and flashes for some time and then goes off.
  • After the power-up test, the ON/OFF indicator light comes on and flashes.
  • The display goes off.
On the oven:
  • The oven is energized in the off mode.
2.On the oven control module:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton switch.
On the oven control module:
  • The display comes on and shows the airline logo, the software versions and the oven type.
  • The oven control module starts a self-test.
On the oven:
  • After the self-test, the oven changes to the standby mode.
3.On the oven control module:
  • Push the TIME MENU pushbutton switch (the up arrow).
On the display:
  • The display shows the standard programs.
  • Push the related TIME MENU pushbutton switch(es) and select the "Medium" program.
  • The "Medium" program is set.
4.On the oven control module:
  • Push the START/PAUSE pushbutton switch.
On the oven:
  • The oven starts to operate.
On the oven control module:
  • The program with the countdown starts.
  • The ON/OFF indicator light stays on.
  • The START/PAUSE indicator light comes on.
  • Push the TIME MENU pushbutton switch (the down arrow) and adjust the program time.
  • The display shows the adjusted program time.

  • When the program is completed, the Ready indicator light comes on and flashes.
  • The START/PAUSE indicator light goes off.
  • The display shows the "Program Ready" message.
5.On the oven control module:
  • Push the CLEAR/STOP pushbutton switch.
On the display:
  • The "Program Ready" message goes off.
On the oven control module:
  • The ON/OFF indicator light flashes.
On the oven:
  • The oven changes to the standby mode.
6.On the oven control module:
  • Push the ON/OFF pushbutton switch.
On the oven control module:
  • The display goes off.
On the oven:
  • The oven changes to the off mode.
7.On the galley control panel:
  • If the master switch is installed, set it to the OFF position.
On the oven control module:
  • The ON/OFF indicator light goes off.
On the oven:
  • The oven is de-energized.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the related circuit breaker(s) and switch(es) back to their initial configuration.
   (2) Make sure that the oven is in its initial configuration.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
