Removal of the Forward Galley Unit

C. Get Access
(1) If necessary, remove the contents which are kept in the galley.
(2) Remove all the non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(3) Remove the galley equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001).
(4) If installed, remove the curtain and curtain rail (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002) in the area of the galley.
(6) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001)
Subtask 25-31-44-010-050-AP ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If necessary, remove the contents which are kept in the galley.
(2) Remove all the non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(3) Remove the galley equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001).
(4) If installed, remove the curtain and curtain rail (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002) in the area of the galley.
(6) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001)
C. Get Access
(1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
(2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
(3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(4) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
(6) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
(2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
(3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(4) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
(6) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).
Subtask 25-31-44-020-050-CB ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Galley Unit
(1) If necessary, remove all the decorative material.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connections:
(a) Release the fasteners (41) and remove the pelmet (40).
(b) Remove the nuts (4), the bolts (1), the washers (2) and disconnect the bonding straps (3).
(3) Remove the upper attachments:
(a) Open the door (42).
(b) Remove the screws (72) and the cover (71).
(c) Remove the quick-release pins (56) and disconnect the tie rods (57) from the aircraft structure.
(4) Remove the lower attachments:
(b) Remove the fillers (66).
(c) Remove the screws (53), the covers (54) and the fillers (55).
(d) Remove the kickstrip (67).
(e) Remove the screws (60), the seal plates (61) and the seal (62).
(f) Remove the bolts (43) and the washers (44).
(g) If installed, remove the washers (45).
(h) Remove the inner eccentric bushes (46) and the outer eccentric bushes (47).
(i) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(j) Carefully lift and move the galley to the centerline of the aircraft.
(k) Remove the washers (49) and the rings (50).
(l) Remove and discard the packings (51).
(m) Remove the bushes (52).
(n) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (52) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
(o) Remove the screws (70), the washers (69) and the floor fitting (68).
Subtask 25-31-44-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If necessary, remove all the decorative material.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connections:
(a) Release the fasteners (41) and remove the pelmet (40).
(b) Remove the nuts (4), the bolts (1), the washers (2) and disconnect the bonding straps (3).
(3) Remove the upper attachments:
(a) Open the door (42).
(b) Remove the screws (72) and the cover (71).
(c) Remove the quick-release pins (56) and disconnect the tie rods (57) from the aircraft structure.
(4) Remove the lower attachments:
WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Remove the screws (65), the washers (64) and the wheel guides (63). (b) Remove the fillers (66).
(c) Remove the screws (53), the covers (54) and the fillers (55).
(d) Remove the kickstrip (67).
(e) Remove the screws (60), the seal plates (61) and the seal (62).
(f) Remove the bolts (43) and the washers (44).
(g) If installed, remove the washers (45).
(h) Remove the inner eccentric bushes (46) and the outer eccentric bushes (47).
(i) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(j) Carefully lift and move the galley to the centerline of the aircraft.
(k) Remove the washers (49) and the rings (50).
(l) Remove and discard the packings (51).
(m) Remove the bushes (52).
(n) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (52) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
(o) Remove the screws (70), the washers (69) and the floor fitting (68).
B. Removal of the Pelmet
(1) Pull the pelmet (1) up and disengage the fasteners (2).
(2) Hold the pelmet (1) in position.
(3) Remove the screw (3) and the washers (4) and (6), then disconnect the bonding strap (5).
(4) Remove the screw (9), washer (4), clamp (8) and spacer (7).
(5) Safety the bonding strap (5) to the pelmet (1).
(6) Remove the pelmet (1).
Subtask 25-31-44-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Pull the pelmet (1) up and disengage the fasteners (2).
(2) Hold the pelmet (1) in position.
(3) Remove the screw (3) and the washers (4) and (6), then disconnect the bonding strap (5).
(4) Remove the screw (9), washer (4), clamp (8) and spacer (7).
(5) Safety the bonding strap (5) to the pelmet (1).
(6) Remove the pelmet (1).
C. Removal of the Electrical Connections
(1) Remove the nuts (4), the screws (3) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (1).
(2) Safety the bonding straps (1) to the galley.
Subtask 25-31-44-020-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the nuts (4), the screws (3) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (1).
(2) Safety the bonding straps (1) to the galley.
D. Removal of the Upper Attachments
(1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
(2) Hold the tie-rods (5) and (6).
(3) Remove the quick-release pins (3), then disconnect the tie-rods (5) and (6) from the aircraft structure and the brackets (7).
(4) Remove the tie-rods (5) and (6).
Subtask 25-31-44-020-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
(2) Hold the tie-rods (5) and (6).
(3) Remove the quick-release pins (3), then disconnect the tie-rods (5) and (6) from the aircraft structure and the brackets (7).
(4) Remove the tie-rods (5) and (6).
E. Removal of the Wheel Guides and the Kickstrips
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the kickstrips (11).
(4) Remove the screws (8), washers (9) and kickstrip (10).
(5) Remove the screw (7), washer (6) and kickstrip (5).
(6) Remove the screws (4), washers (3) and wheel guides (2).
(7) If the fillers (1) are damaged or loose, remove them.
Subtask 25-31-44-020-063-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the kickstrips (11).
(4) Remove the screws (8), washers (9) and kickstrip (10).
(5) Remove the screw (7), washer (6) and kickstrip (5).
(6) Remove the screws (4), washers (3) and wheel guides (2).
(7) If the fillers (1) are damaged or loose, remove them.
E. Removal of the Wheel Guides and the Kickstrips
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the kickstrips (9) and (8).
(4) Remove the screws (4), the washers (3) and the kickstrip (7).
(5) Remove the screw (6), the washer (3) and the kickstrip (5).
(6) Remove the screws (4), the washers (3) and the wheel guides (2).
(7) If the fillers (1) are damaged or loose, remove them.
Subtask 25-31-44-020-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the kickstrips (9) and (8).
(4) Remove the screws (4), the washers (3) and the kickstrip (7).
(5) Remove the screw (6), the washer (3) and the kickstrip (5).
(6) Remove the screws (4), the washers (3) and the wheel guides (2).
(7) If the fillers (1) are damaged or loose, remove them.
F. Removal of the Floor Seal(s) and the Covers
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screws (6) and the covers (5).
(4) Remove the screws (9), the covers (8) and the fillers (7).
(5) Remove the screws (1) and (4), the seal plates (2) and the seal(s) (3).
Subtask 25-31-44-020-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screws (6) and the covers (5).
(4) Remove the screws (9), the covers (8) and the fillers (7).
(5) Remove the screws (1) and (4), the seal plates (2) and the seal(s) (3).
G. Removal of the Lower Attachments
(2) If the washers (3) are installed, remove them.
(3) Remove the inner eccentric bushings (4) and the outer eccentric bushings (5).
(4) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
(6) Remove the washers (7) and the rings (8).
(7) Remove and discard the packings (9).
(8) Remove the bushes (10).
(9) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (10) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
(10) Remove the screws (11), the washers (12) and the floor fitting (13).

(1) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).(2) If the washers (3) are installed, remove them.
(3) Remove the inner eccentric bushings (4) and the outer eccentric bushings (5).
(4) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
(6) Remove the washers (7) and the rings (8).
(7) Remove and discard the packings (9).
(8) Remove the bushes (10).
(9) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (10) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
(10) Remove the screws (11), the washers (12) and the floor fitting (13).
H. Galley Disassembly
