4. Procedure
Subtask 25-21-00-710-053-R ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Test of the PED Power Supply
   (1) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
   (2) Do this test:
NOTE: The extension of the flaps/slats is only necessary after a MCU is replaced.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
  • Set the PED power ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
At the PED power outlet unit:
  • The green LED comes on.
2.On the related seat:
  • Connect a MULTIMETER - STANDARD with an applicable interface cable to the PED power outlet unit.
At the PED power outlet unit:
  • The green LED is on.
  • The multimeter shows 110 +15-6VAC.
3.On FAP 120RH:
  • Set the PED power ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
At the PED power outlet unit:
  • The green LED goes off.
  • The multimeter shows 0VAC.
4.On the related seat:
  • Disconnect the connector from the power outlet unit.

5.On FAP 120RH:
  • Set the PED power ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
On the related seat:
  • The green LED comes on.
6.Extend the flaps/slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
On the related seat:
  • The green LED goes off.
   (3) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 25-21-00-710-053-AU ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Test of the Portable Electronic Device (PED) Power Supply
   (1) Make sure that the PAX SYS ON/OFF switch in the VCC is in the ON position.
   (2) Do this test:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
  • Set the PED power ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
At the related outlet unit:
  • The green LED comes on.
2.On the related seat:
  • Connect a MULTIMETER - STANDARD with an applicable interface cable or a Z289H0010110 LOAD UNIT-MOBILE,SEAT to the PED power outlet unit.
  • Connect a USB test tool with an applicable interface cable to the USB outlet unit.
At the related power outlet unit:
  • The green LED is on.
  • The multimeter shows 110 +15/-6VAC.
  • The 5V USB test tool LED comes on.
3.On FAP 120RH:
  • Set the PED power ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
At the related power outlet unit:
  • The LED changes to red.
  • The multimeter shows 0VAC.
  • The 5V USB test tool LED goes off.
4.On the related seat:
  • Disconnect the interface cable from the related outlet unit.

   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 25-21-00-710-053-OA ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Test of the Portable Electronic Device (PED) Power Supply
   (1) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the PED POWER switch is in the off position.
   (2) On FAP 120RH, make sure that the PED POWER switch indicator-light is in amber.
   (3) Make sure that the flaps/slats are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
   (4) Do this test:
NOTE: The extension of the flaps/slats is only necessary after the Master Control Unit (MCU) is replaced.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On FAP 120RH, push the PED POWER switch to the on position.
On FAP 120RH, the PED POWER switch indicator-light changes from amber to green.
On the related seat:
  • On the power outlet unit, the LED comes on and shows as green.
  • On the USB-power outlet unit, the backlight comes on.
2.On the related seat:
  • Connect the MULTIMETER - STANDARD with an applicable interface cable to the power outlet unit.
  • Connect the USB TOOL-TEST with an applicable interface cable to the USB-power outlet unit.
On the related seat:
  • On the power outlet unit, the LED stays on and shows as green.
  • The multimeter shows 110 +15-6VAC.
  • On the USB-power outlet unit, the backlight stays on.
  • The 5V USB test-tool LED comes on.
3.On FAP 120RH, push the PED POWER switch to the off position.
On FAP 120RH, the PED POWER switch indicator-light changes from green to amber.
On the related seat:
  • On the power outlet unit, the LED goes off.
  • The multimeter shows 0VAC.
  • On the USB-power outlet unit, the backlight goes off.
  • The 5V USB test-tool LED goes off.
4.On the related seat, disconnect the interface cable from the related power outlet unit.

5.On FAP 120RH, push the PED POWER switch to the on position.
On FAP 120RH, the PED POWER switch indicator-light changes from amber to green.
On the related seat:
  • On the power outlet unit, the LED comes on and shows as green.
  • On the USB-power outlet unit, the backlight comes on.
6.Extend the flaps/slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
On FAP 120RH, the PED POWER switch indicator-light changes from green to amber.
On the related seat:
  • On the power outlet unit, the LED goes off.
  • On the USB-power outlet unit, the backlight goes off.
   (5) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (6) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
