A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On ENG panel 115VU:
  • Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
  • Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
  • Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch. pneumatic system.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
  • Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
   (3) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
  • Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is in position on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
  • Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are closed (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position on the right side of the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the access panel are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-807):

4. Procedure
Subtask 24-92-00-420-056-A
A. Installation of the Pylon Power Feeder-Cables from the pylon interface terminal-block
   (1) Install the fire seal (11) into the rib (13) with the two washers (10), bolts (9) and nuts (12).
     (a) Tighten the two nuts (12).
   (2) Install the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) through the hole in the pylon.
   (3) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2 ) into the clamp (16).
     (a) Install the clamp (16) on the support bracket (14) with the washer (18) and bolt (20). Do not torque the bolt (20) at this time.
   (4) Install the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) to the pylon interface terminal-block (1).
     (a) Install the four wing power feeder-cables (3) to the pylon interface terminal-block (1).
     (b) Install the four washers (4) and nuts (5) to the pylon interface terminal-block (1).
     (c) Tighten the four nuts (5) ESPM 204452.
     (d) Attach the cover (8) with the two bolts (6).
     (e) Installation of the lockwire
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
       1 Install the lockwire (7) on the cover (8) between the two bolts (6).
     (f) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
   (5) Tighten the bolt (20).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-807):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

   (5) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

C. Installation of the Pylon Power Feeder-Cables to the upper forward pylon-interface terminal-block
   (1) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the clamp (17).
     (a) Install the clamp (17) on the support bracket (15) with the washer (19), bolt (21) and nut (22). Do not torque the nut (22) at this time.
   (2) Engage the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the four lower holes the bar clamp (25).
     (a) Carefully push the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) into the bar clamp (25).
     (b) Put the ends of the four pylon power feeder-cables (2) on the four studs of the pylon terminal block (26).
     (c) Align the identification numbers on the ends of the four cables with the identification numbers on the pylon terminal block (26).
   (3) Install the four nuts (27) to the upper forward pylon-interface terminal-block (26).
     (a) TORQUE the four nuts (27) to between 167 and 143 lbf.in (1.89 and 1.62 m.daN ) T.
   (4) Install the cover (28) and the three bolts (29) on upper forward pylon-interface terminal-block (26).
     (a) TORQUE the three bolts (29) to between 10 and 8 lbf.in (0.11 and 0.09 m.daN )
T.
   (5) Tighten the nut (22)
ESPM 204452.
   (6) TORQUE the two bolts (24) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN ) T.
   (7) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

E. Test
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that IDG1(2) operates correctly:
     (a) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page on the lower ECAM DU:
  • Make sure that the voltage of the IDG1(2) is 115VAC.
  • Make sure that the frequency of the IDG1(2) is 400Hz plus or minus 5Hz.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits supplied from the engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
