BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 24-21-61-010-060-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position on the left side of the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position on the left side of the engine.
Subtask 24-21-61-420-053-A
A. Installation of the Generator Power Feeder Cables
(1) If installed, remove the IDG terminal cover (1), the two bolts (9) and the two washers (45) from the IDG terminal block (5).
(2) If installed, remove the pylon terminal cover (44) and the three bolts (38) from the pylon terminal block (40).
(3) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (5), (9), (12), (15), (19), (21), (25), (27), (31), (32), (36), (38), and (43) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(4) Install the seven p-clamps (11), (16), (20), (22), (26), (28), (30) and the three bar clamps (6), (35), and (37) on the set of power feeder cables (8). Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the clamps in the correct position.
(5) Put the set of power feeder cables (8) (with the p-clamps and bar clamps attached) in position on the left side of the engine.
(6) Connect the power feeder cables (8) to the left side of the engine as follows:
(a) Align the holes in the bar clamp (35) with the mating holes in the support bracket (34).
(b) Loosely install the two bolts (36) to attach the bar clamp (35) to the support bracket (34).
(c) Push the upper ends of the power feeder cables (8) through the opening at the top of the engine.
1 The upper ends of the power feeder cables (8) extend across to the right side of the engine.
(d) Align the hole in each of the seven p-clamps (11), (16), (20), (22), (26), (28), and (30) with the mating holes in the support brackets (13), (14), (17), (18), (23), (24), and (29).
(e) Loosely install the bolts (12), (15), (19), (21), (25), (27), and (31) to attach the seven p-clamps to the support brackets.
(7) Connect the power feeder cables (8) to the IDG terminal block (3) as follows:
(a) Put the four power feeder cables (8) on the studs of the IDG terminal block (3).
1 Align the identification numbers on the ends of the four cables with the identification numbers on the IDG terminal block (3).
(b) Install the four nuts (2) that attach the power feeder cables (8) to the IDG terminal block (3).
(c) TORQUE the four nuts (2) to between 1.90 and 1.63 m.daN (14.01 and 12.02 lbf.ft )
.
(d) Install the two bolts (9), the two washers (45) and the IDG terminal cover (1) to the IDG terminal block (3).
(e) TORQUE the two bolts (9) to between 0.25 and 0.23 m.daN (22.12 and 20.35 lbf.in )
.
(f) Align the two holes in the bar clamp (6) with the mating holes in the support bracket (7).
(g) Install the two bolts (5) that attach the bar clamp (6) to the support bracket (7).
(h) TORQUE the two bolts (5) to between 0.79 and 0.68 m.daN (69.91 and 60.18 lbf.in )

(8) Connect the power feeder cables (8) at the pylon as follows (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804):
(a) Push the four IDG power feeder cables (8) into the four lower holes of the bar clamp (42).
(b) Put the ends of the four power feeder cables (8) on the four studs of the pylon terminal block (40).
1 Align the identification numbers on the ends of the four cables with the identification numbers on the pylon terminal block.
(c) Install the four nuts (39) to connect the power feeder cables (8) to the pylon terminal block (40).
(d) TORQUE the four nuts (39) to between 1.90 and 1.63 m.daN (14.01 and 12.02 lbf.ft )
.
(e) Align the two holes in the upper part of the bar clamp (42) with the mating holes in the mounting plate (41). The lower part of the bar clamp (42) stays attached to the mounting plate (41) by the middle bolt.
(f) Install the two bolts (43) that attach the two halves of the bar clamp (42) to the mounting plate (41).
(g) Install the three bolts (38) and the pylon terminal cover (44) to the pylon terminal block (40).
(h) Align the holes in the highest bar clamp (37) with the mating holes in the support bracket (33).
(i) Loosely install the two bolts (32) to attach the bar clamp (37) to the support bracket (33).
(j) TORQUE the two bolts (43) and the two bolts (32) to between 0.79 and 0.68 m.daN (69.91 and 60.18 lbf.in )
.
(k) TORQUE the three bolts (38) at the pylon terminal cover (44) to between 0.11 and 0.09 m.daN (9.73 and 7.96 lbf.in )
.
(9) Complete the installation of the power feeder cables (8) as follows:
(a) Move the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE to the left side of the engine.
(b) Adjust the tension along the length of the power feeder cables (8). Make sure that adjacent components do not touch the power feeder cables and cause wear.
(c) TORQUE the five bolts (15), (21), (25), (27), and (31) at the clamps to between 0.79 and 0.68 m.daN (69.91 and 60.18 lbf.in )

(d) TORQUE the five bolts (12) and (19) at the clamps to between 1.40 and 1.20 m.daN (123.89 and 106.19 lbf.in )
.
(e) TORQUE the two bolts (36) at the bar clamp (35) to between 0.79 and 0.68 m.daN (69.91 and 60.18 lbf.in )
.
Subtask 24-21-61-410-055-A (1) If installed, remove the IDG terminal cover (1), the two bolts (9) and the two washers (45) from the IDG terminal block (5).
(2) If installed, remove the pylon terminal cover (44) and the three bolts (38) from the pylon terminal block (40).

(5) Put the set of power feeder cables (8) (with the p-clamps and bar clamps attached) in position on the left side of the engine.
(6) Connect the power feeder cables (8) to the left side of the engine as follows:
(a) Align the holes in the bar clamp (35) with the mating holes in the support bracket (34).
(b) Loosely install the two bolts (36) to attach the bar clamp (35) to the support bracket (34).
(c) Push the upper ends of the power feeder cables (8) through the opening at the top of the engine.

(b) Install the four nuts (2) that attach the power feeder cables (8) to the IDG terminal block (3).
(c) TORQUE the four nuts (2) to between 1.90 and 1.63 m.daN (14.01 and 12.02 lbf.ft )
. (d) Install the two bolts (9), the two washers (45) and the IDG terminal cover (1) to the IDG terminal block (3).
(e) TORQUE the two bolts (9) to between 0.25 and 0.23 m.daN (22.12 and 20.35 lbf.in )
. (f) Align the two holes in the bar clamp (6) with the mating holes in the support bracket (7).
(g) Install the two bolts (5) that attach the bar clamp (6) to the support bracket (7).
(h) TORQUE the two bolts (5) to between 0.79 and 0.68 m.daN (69.91 and 60.18 lbf.in )
. (8) Connect the power feeder cables (8) at the pylon as follows (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804):
(a) Push the four IDG power feeder cables (8) into the four lower holes of the bar clamp (42).
(b) Put the ends of the four power feeder cables (8) on the four studs of the pylon terminal block (40).
1 Align the identification numbers on the ends of the four cables with the identification numbers on the pylon terminal block.
(c) Install the four nuts (39) to connect the power feeder cables (8) to the pylon terminal block (40).
(d) TORQUE the four nuts (39) to between 1.90 and 1.63 m.daN (14.01 and 12.02 lbf.ft )

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

Subtask 24-21-61-710-053-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

C. Test
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) Start the engine (normal automatic start) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-827).
(a) Let it become stable at minimum idle position for five minutes.
(4) Make sure that the IDG 1(2) operates correctly.
(a) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page:
5. Close-up(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) Start the engine (normal automatic start) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-827).
(a) Let it become stable at minimum idle position for five minutes.
(4) Make sure that the IDG 1(2) operates correctly.
(a) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page:
- Make sure that the voltage of the IDG 1(2) is 115VAC.
- Make sure that the frequency of the IDG 1(2) is 400Hz + or - 5Hz.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
