C. Prepare the System Display (SD) for the test.
   (1) On the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM) control panel:
  • Make sure that the LOWER DISPLAY potentiometer is between the OFF and BRT positions.
  • Make sure that the system page keys are off.
  • Push the CLR key until there are no system pages shown on the SD.

RESULT
1.In the cockpit, on panel 27VU:
In the cockpit:
  • Push the CKPT DOOR VIDEO pushbutton.
  • The OFF legend in the CKPT DOOR VIDEO pushbutton goes off.

In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:

  • The green LED comes on.
  • The image from camera 1 is shown on the LCD monitor.
  • The image from camera 1 is good.
2.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from camera 2 is shown on the left half of the LCD-monitor-screen.
  • The image from camera 3 is shown on the right half of the LCD-monitor-screen.
  • The images from cameras 2 and 3 are good.
3.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The screen is black.
NOTE: The black screen is only shown if the LCD monitor has been programmed for the 'not-installed' fourth camera.
4.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from camera 1 is shown.
5.In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Turn the LCD-monitor brightness-knob clockwise and counterclockwise.
  • The image becomes brighter or dimmer in relation to the position of the brightness-knob.
  • The image is good.
6.In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Turn the LCD-monitor contrast-knob clockwise and counterclockwise.
  • The contrast of the image changes in relation to the position of the contrast-knob.
  • The image is good.
7.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from camera 2 is shown on the left half of the screen.
  • The image from camera 3 is shown on the right half of the screen.
  • After five minutes the images go off (power-down-mode).
  • The green LED stays on.
NOTE: If the LCD monitor is not programmed for the power-down-mode then the images stay on.
NOTE: If the LCD monitor has been programmed for the 'not-installed' fourth camera (black screen), the images go off after one minute.
8.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Less than four minutes after the images on the LCD monitor go off, push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The images from cameras 2 and 3 are shown (split screen).
9.In the cockpit entrance area, on the CDLS keypad:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the code to request entry to the cockpit.
  • The horn is heard.

In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:

  • The image from camera 1 is shown.
NOTE: The next two steps must be done in less than 30 seconds after this step.

10.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The images from cameras 2 and 3 are shown (split screen).
11.In the cockpit entrance area, on the CDLS keypad:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the code to request entry to the cockpit.
  • On the LCD monitor, the images from cameras 2 and 3 stay on.
12.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • After 30 seconds, push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from camera 1 is shown.
13.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from camera 2 is shown on the left half of the screen.
  • The image from camera 3 is shown on the right half of the screen.
14.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton and hold for two seconds.
  • The image changes to camera 1 and then goes off.
NOTE: If the LCD monitor is not programmed for the pilot-sleep-mode then the LCD monitor displays camera 1.
15.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from camera 1 is shown.
  • After 5 minutes the image goes off (power-down-mode).
16.In the cockpit, on the panel 119VU:
In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:
  • Less than 30 seconds after the images on the LCD monitor go off, push the VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The image from the last selected view (camera 1) is displayed.
17.In the cockpit, on panel 27VU:
In the cockpit:
  • Push the CKPT DOOR VIDEO pushbutton one time.
  • The OFF legend in the CKPT DOOR VIDEO pushbutton comes on.

In the cockpit, on the LCD monitor:

  • The green LED goes off.
  • The screen goes off.

  • Set the CKPT ENTRY rotary switch to the CKPT ENTRY position.
  • The images from camera 1 are shown.
  • Push the CAM SEL pushbutton.
  • The images from camera 2 are shown on the right side.
  • The images from camera 3 are shown on the left side.
3.On the Cockpit-Door Lock-System (CDLS) keypad in the cockpit entrance area:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the code to get access to the cockpit.
  • The buzzer is heard.

On the SD:

  • The images from camera 1 are shown.
4.You must do the step 5 and start the step 6 in less than 30 seconds after the step 3.

5.On the panel 119VU in the cockpit:
On the SD:
  • Push the CAM SEL pushbutton.
  • The images from camera 2 are shown on the right side.
  • The images from camera 3 are shown on the left side.
6.On the CDLS keypad in the cockpit entrance area:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the code to get access to the cockpit.
  • The buzzer is heard.

On the SD:

  • The images from camera 2 and 3 are shown.
After 30 seconds:
In the cockpit:
  • Enter the code to get access to the cockpit.
NOTE: This step can be not necessary because the last entry code can be kept by the CDSS controller and will be automatically applied after 30 seconds.
  • The buzzer is heard.

On the SD:

  • The images from camera 1 are shown.
  • Enter the code to get access to the cockpit and keep the ENTRY CODE pushbuttons pushed.
  • The buzzer is heard.

On the SD:

  • The images from camera 1 are shown.
7.On the panel 119VU in the cockpit:
On the SD:
  • Push the CAM SEL pushbutton.
  • The images from camera 2 are shown on the right side.
  • The images from camera 3 are shown on the left side.
8.On the panel 8VU:
On the SD:
  • Set the EIS DMC switch 18WT to the CAPT and to the F/O positions.
  • The images from camera 2 and 3 stay on the SD (no change).
9.In the forward entrance area:
In the forward entrance area:
  • Close the LH and RH doors.
  • The LH and RH doors are closed.
10.On the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP):
In the forward entrance area:
  • Set the light in the forward entrance area to the off position.
  • The light goes off.
11.On the panel 119VU in the cockpit:
On the SD:
  • Push the CAM SEL pushbutton.
  • The images from camera 1 are shown.
  • Push the CAM SEL pushbutton.
  • The images from camera 2 are shown on the right side.
  • The images from camera 3 are shown on the left side.
