Removal of the Ozone Filter
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE.
HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
NOTE: The procedure is the same for the ozone filters 100HM and 101HM.

C. Safety Precautions
(1) On the panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that:
(2) On the HP ground connector put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to supply the ground air.
Subtask 21-51-41-010-050-A (1) On the panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that:
- the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is in the off position (the ON legend is off) and,
- the ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are in the off position (the OFF legends are on).
(2) On the HP ground connector put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to supply the ground air.
D. Get Access
(1) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002):
(a) FOR [100HM] (P1 OZONE FILTER)
191KB and 191BB.
(b) FOR [101HM] (P2 OZONE FILTER)
192KB and 192FB.
4. Procedure(1) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002):
(a) FOR [100HM] (P1 OZONE FILTER)

(b) FOR [101HM] (P2 OZONE FILTER)
192KB and 192FB.
Subtask 21-51-41-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Ozone Filter
(1) Disconnect the sense line (7).
(2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(3) Remove the nut (21), the washer (20), the bolt (18) and disconnect the bonding strap (19).
(4) Remove the clamps (22) and (31).
(5) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.
(a) Remove the nut (13), the washer (14) the bolt (15) and disconnect the support rod (1).
(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
(8) Put protective covers on the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).
Subtask 21-51-41-020-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the sense line (7).
(2) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(3) Remove the nut (21), the washer (20), the bolt (18) and disconnect the bonding strap (19).
(4) Remove the clamps (22) and (31).
(5) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.
NOTE: Turn the sleeve (11) when you move it.
This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).
(6) Hold the ozone filter (30) and: This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).
(a) Remove the nut (13), the washer (14) the bolt (15) and disconnect the support rod (1).
(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
NOTE: The ozone filter weighs aprx. 14 kg (30.8647 lb).
(7) Carefully remove the ozone filter (30) from the aircraft. (8) Put protective covers on the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).

(3) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.

(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
(6) Put protective covers on the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).
Subtask 21-51-41-020-050-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the nut (21), the washer (20), the bolt (18) and disconnect the bonding strap (19).

(3) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.
NOTE: Turn the sleeve (11) when you move it.
This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).

(a) Remove the nut (13), the washer (14) the bolt (15) and disconnect the support rod (1).
(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).

(5) Carefully remove the ozone filter (30) from the aircraft. (6) Put protective covers on the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).

(6) If installed, remove the insulation cover (40):
Subtask 21-51-41-020-050-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the nut (21), the washer (20), the bolt (18) and disconnect the bonding strap (19).
(2) Remove the clamps (22) and (31).
(3) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.
NOTE: Turn the sleeve (11) when you move it.
This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).
(4) Hold the ozone filter (30) and: This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).
(a) Remove the nut (13), the washer (14) the bolt (15) and disconnect the support rod (1).
(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
NOTE: The ozone filter weighs aprx. 14 kg (30.8647 lb).
(5) Carefully remove the ozone filter (30) from the aircraft. (6) If installed, remove the insulation cover (40):
- Remove and discard the tie wraps (41)
- Open the velcro tape (42) and remove the insulation cover (40).
A. Removal of the Ozone Filter
(1) Remove the nut (21), the washer (20), the bolt (18) and disconnect the bonding strap (19).
(2) Remove the clamps (22) and (31).
(3) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.
(a) Remove the nut (13), the washer (14) the bolt (15) and disconnect the support rod (1).
(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
(6) Remove the tie wraps (41), open the velcro tape (42) and remove the insulation cover (40) from the ozone filter (30).
(7) Put protective covers on the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).
Subtask 21-51-41-020-051-A (1) Remove the nut (21), the washer (20), the bolt (18) and disconnect the bonding strap (19).
(2) Remove the clamps (22) and (31).
(3) Move the flange (23) and the sleeve (11) as far away from the ozone filter (30) as they will go.
NOTE: Turn the sleeve (11) when you move it.
This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).
(4) Hold the ozone filter (30) and: This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve (11).
(a) Remove the nut (13), the washer (14) the bolt (15) and disconnect the support rod (1).
(b) Remove the nuts (26), the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
NOTE: The ozone filter weighs aprx. 14 kg (30.8647 lb).
(5) Carefully remove the ozone filter (30) from the aircraft. (6) Remove the tie wraps (41), open the velcro tape (42) and remove the insulation cover (40) from the ozone filter (30).
(7) Put protective covers on the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).
B. Removal of the Bracket Assembly and Support Rod
(1) Remove the nuts (4), the washers (5), the bolts (6), the bushings (7) and the bracket assembly (12).
(2) Remove the nut (4), the washer (5), the bolt (6), the bushing (7) and the support-rod (1).
(3) Do the inspection of the components for in-service wear (Ref. AMM TASK 21-51-41-200-001).
(1) Remove the nuts (4), the washers (5), the bolts (6), the bushings (7) and the bracket assembly (12).
(2) Remove the nut (4), the washer (5), the bolt (6), the bushing (7) and the support-rod (1).
(3) Do the inspection of the components for in-service wear (Ref. AMM TASK 21-51-41-200-001).
