WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.

(1) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the applicable zones.
(2) Remove the access panels:

A. Inspection

False Spar Box

(1) Do a general visual inspection of the false spar box for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels:

573CB, 573DB and 573EB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-002),
574AB and 574BB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-009).
673CB, 673DB and 673EB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-002),

B. Put the Aircraft Back to its Initial Configuration
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
