A. If there is an electrical burning smell:
(1) With the flight or cabin crew, try to find the source of the burning smell.
Refer to the applicable paragraph of this procedure.
(3) If a circuit breaker tripped:
(a) If there is an ECAM warning, a message or a local observation:
a If you smell oil (because of contamination of the air conditioning system):
Subtask 24-00-00-810-074-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) With the flight or cabin crew, try to find the source of the burning smell.
NOTE: To help you to identify the cause of the burning smell (electrical burning or contamination of the air-conditioning system or burning smell from the engine or the APU), you must refer to the applicable paragraph of this procedure.
(2) Make an estimate of the electrical damage, and de-energize the applicable electrical power network (commercial/servicing/galley). Refer to the applicable paragraph of this procedure.
(3) If a circuit breaker tripped:
- Do this trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 24-00-00-810-803).
(a) If there is an ECAM warning, a message or a local observation:
- Refer to the applicable trouble shooting procedure.
- Do an inspection of the electrical circuits and related mechanical components for arcing, chafing or short circuit, ESPM 2052000.
- Repair or replace the damaged components, ESPM 2053000.
a If you smell oil (because of contamination of the air conditioning system):
- Do this trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 21-00-00-810-801).
- Do this trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 71-00-00-810-802).
- Do the applicable trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 49-00-00-810-846) (Ref. TSM TASK 49-00-81-810-874) (Ref. TSM TASK 49-00-00-810-921).
- Do this trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 26-15-00-810-804).
