A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THE FUEL FILTER IS INSTALLED INTO THE FCOC. RUNNING THE ENGINE WITHOUT THE FUEL FILTER INSTALLED CAN DAMAGE THE ENGINE AND ITS COMPONENTS. LOCKWIRE AT THE FUEL FILTER ENDCAP BOLTS DOES NOT INDICATE THE PRESENCE OF THE FUEL FILTER.
B. Install the FCOC PRE SBE 79-0075

(1) Install the FCOC and attach it with the bolts (77) and (85), the nuts (78) and (79) and the bush (82).
(2) Install the pin (74) and attach it with the bolt (76).
(3) Install the bonding straps (73) and (83) with the bolts (71) and (80), the washers (72) and (81) and the nuts (75) and (84).
NOTE: Make sure the FCOC is in the correct position on the fan case. If it is not in the correct position, you cannot install the oil/fuel tubes.
CAUTION:

(2) Installation of the fuel tube.
(3) Hand tighten the bolts (17) and (24) at the FDRV and the FMU ends first. Gradually tighten the bolts alternatively at both ends to put the tube (16) at a central position inside the housing.

(5) Assemble clipping point 1072 with the bolt (28) and the spacer (29).
(6) Assemble clipping point 0922 with the bolt (42), the washer (45), the spacer (44) and the nut (46).
(7) Assemble clipping point 0921 with the bolt (33), the washer (34) and the nut (35).
(8) Assemble clipping points 0789 with the bolt (38), the washer (37), the spacers (122) and (123) and the nut (36).
(9) Assemble clipping point 0795 with the bolt (39), the washer (40) and the spacers (41) and (124).
(10) TORQUE the bolts (28) and (39) and the nuts (35), (36) and (46) to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )

(2) Installation of the fuel tube.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE FUEL TUBE CENTRALLY IN THE SEAL HOUSING. IF YOU DO NOT, DAMAGE TO THE SEAL HOUSING CAN OCCUR.
(a) Attach the tube (16) and the seal housing (14) to the FDRV and the FMU with the bolts (17) and (24). (3) Hand tighten the bolts (17) and (24) at the FDRV and the FMU ends first. Gradually tighten the bolts alternatively at both ends to put the tube (16) at a central position inside the housing.
NOTE: If the P clamp clipping points of tube (16) were not disassembled during removal, the P clamp clipping points can be loosened to allow centralization of the tube in the housing.
(4) TORQUE the bolts (17) and (24) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (5) Assemble clipping point 1072 with the bolt (28) and the spacer (29).
(6) Assemble clipping point 0922 with the bolt (42), the washer (45), the spacer (44) and the nut (46).
(7) Assemble clipping point 0921 with the bolt (33), the washer (34) and the nut (35).

(1) Lubricate the new AIPC 73-11-49-80-050 SEALING RING (18), AIPC 73-11-49-80-040 SEALING RING (20) and AIPC 73-11-49-80-050 SEALING RING (23) with liquid paraffin (Material No.V10-060) orV10-077 lubricant (engine oil) .
(2) Install the AIPC 73-11-49-80-050 SEALING RING (18), AIPC 73-11-49-80-040 SEALING RING (20) and AIPC 73-11-49-80-050 SEALING RING (23) on the tube (21) and the seal housing (19) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010).
(3) Installation of the fuel tube.
(4) Hand tighten the bolts (22) and (27) at the FDRV and the IDG FCOC ends first. Gradually tighten the bolts alternatively at both ends to put the tube (21) at a central position inside the housing.
(5) TORQUE the bolts (22) and (27) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )

(a) Attach the tube (21), the seal housing (19) and the bracket (26) to the FDRV and the IDG FCOC with the bolts (22) and (27). (4) Hand tighten the bolts (22) and (27) at the FDRV and the IDG FCOC ends first. Gradually tighten the bolts alternatively at both ends to put the tube (21) at a central position inside the housing.
(5) TORQUE the bolts (22) and (27) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )

(3) TORQUE the nut of the tube (12) to between 221 and 204 lbf.in (2.50 and 2.31 m.daN )

(e) Install channel A and B thermocouple lead assemblies on the fuel temperature thermocouple studs.Install the two nuts (107) on the top studs and TORQUE to between 22 and 18 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.20 m.daN )
. Install the two nuts (106) on the bottom studs and TORQUE to between 18 and 15 lbf.in (0.20 and 0.17 m.daN )

. V. Install the fuel drain plug.
