Installation of the Fuel-Cooled IDG Oil-Cooler
WARNING:
DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) on the panel 115VU to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) on the panel 50VU to tell persons not to power supply the FADEC system.

B. Installation of the Fuel Drain Plug
(1) Lubricate the new AIPC 24-21-42-80-180 PACKING (2) withV10-077 lubricant (engine oil)
(2) Install the fuel drain plug on the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler.
(3) TORQUE the fuel drain plug to between 65 and 40 lbf.in (0.73 and 0.45 m.daN )
, (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(4) Safety the fuel drain plug to the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler with lockwire (Material No.V02-147) .

C. Installation of the Oil Drain Plug
(1) Lubricate the new AIPC 24-21-42-80-180 SEALING RING (1) with cleanV10-077 lubricant (engine oil)
(2) Install the oil drain plug on the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler.
(3) TORQUE the oil drain plug to between 65 and 40 lbf.in (0.73 and 0.45 m.daN ), (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(4) Safety the oil drain plug to the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler with the V02-147 lockwire.

(2) Install the oil drain plug on the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler.
(3) TORQUE the oil drain plug to between 65 and 40 lbf.in (0.73 and 0.45 m.daN )

D. Installation of the Sealing Rings and the Seal Housing on the Fuel Tube
(1) Lubricate two new AIPC 73-11-49-80-040 SEALING RINGS (57) with cleanV10-077 lubricant (engine oil)
(2) Install the seal housing (58) on the fuel tube (55).

(2) Install the seal housing (58) on the fuel tube (55).
E. Installation of the Fuel-Cooled IDG Oil-Cooler
(1) Put the bushes (71) and (77) into the mounting holes in the flanges of the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler.
(2) Put the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler on the fan case flange.
(3) Install the pin (75) through the fan case flange and into the bush (71).
(4) Tighten the pin lightly.
(5) Install the pin (76) through the fan case flange and into the bush (77).
(6) Tighten the pin lightly.
(7) TORQUE the pins (75) and (76) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ), (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
Subtask 24-21-42-420-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the bushes (71) and (77) into the mounting holes in the flanges of the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler.
(2) Put the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler on the fan case flange.
(3) Install the pin (75) through the fan case flange and into the bush (71).
(4) Tighten the pin lightly.
(5) Install the pin (76) through the fan case flange and into the bush (77).
(6) Tighten the pin lightly.
(7) TORQUE the pins (75) and (76) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )

(1) Lubricate the new AIPC 73-11-49-80-050 SEALING RING (59) with cleanV10-077 lubricant (engine oil)
(2) Attach the seal housing and the fuel tube to the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler with the bolts (56).
(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ), (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).

(2) Attach the seal housing and the fuel tube to the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler with the bolts (56).
(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )

(1) Lubricate the new AIPC 73-11-49-80-050 SEALING RING (54) with cleanV10-077 lubricant (engine oil)
(2) Attach the fuel tube and the bracket (52) to the fuel-cooled IDG oil-cooler with the bolts (53).
(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ), (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).

(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ), (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).

(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )

(1) Attach the harness (33) to the tube (35) with the clip (36), bolt (31), washer (32) and nut (34) at position E.
(2) Attach the harness (42) to the tube (44) with the clip (45), bolt (41), washer (46) and nut (43) at position D.
(3) Attach the harness (23) to the tube (25) with the clip (26), bolt (21), washer (22) and nut (24) at position C.
(4) Attach the harness (14) to the tube (15) with the clip (11), bolt (12), washer (13) and nut (16) at position B.
(5) TORQUE the bolts (31), (41), (21) and (12) and the nuts (34), (43), (24), and (16) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN ), (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
