A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
  • Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
  • Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Filter Assembly
   (1) Put a CLOTH - PROTECTIVE in the location where you will install the thrust reverser hydraulic filter assembly.
The hydraulic fluid will cause damage to the engine.
   (2) Put the hydraulic filter assembly (30) in position on the support plate (50) with the four bolts (40) and the four washers (45). Do not torque the bolts (40) at this time.
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from the ports of the filter assembly (30).
   (4) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends (20) and (25).
   (5) Connection of the pressure supply tubes
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC TUBES.
     (a) Connect the pressure supply tube (25) to the filter (30) and the isolation valve (35). Do not torque the tube (25) at this time.
     (b) Connect the pressure supply tube (20) to the filter (30). Do not torque the tube (20) at this time.
   (6) TORQUE the four bolts (40) to between 1.79 and 1.38 m.daN (13.20 and 10.18 lbf.ft ) T.
   (7) TORQUE the coupling nut of the pressure supply tubes (20) and (25) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
T.
   (8) Install the clamp (15) with the bolt (5) and the washer (10) to attach the pressure supply tube (20).
   (9) Remove the protective cloth from the engine.

C. Test and Bleed Procedure
   (1) Operate the thrust reverser for ten deploy-to-stow cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-042).
   (2) Do a check on the CFDS that there are no messages related to the isolation valve.
   (3) Make sure that there are no leaks at the tube connections.

D. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
