A. Do a Visual Inspection of the Thrust Reverser Half Door Opening Actuator and Hydraulic Hose
5. Close-up| INSPECT/CHECK | MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS | REMARKS |
|---|---|---|
| 1.Inspect the half door opening actuator for: | | |
| A.Damage | No damage permitted | If you find some damage, replace the door opening actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| B.Crack | No crack permitted | If there is a crack, replace the door opening actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| C.Hydraulic leakage | The Dynamic rate of 4 drops per 25 actuation cyles is allowed. The static rate of 4 drops in 8 hours is allowed. | If the leakage comes from the nipple, check the nipple for correct torque (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041). If the leakage is beyond the permitted limits, replace the door-opening actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| | | If the leakage comes from the body of the actuator, replace the door opening actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| 2.Inspect the related hardware of the door opening actuator for: | | |
| A.Damage | No damage permitted | If you find some damage, replace the damaged part (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| 3.Inspect rod end pin for correct installation: | Make sure the rod end pin head is on the top of the actuator. Make sure the washer and circlip are on the bottom and tight. | If pin head is on the bottom and washer is on the top, reinstall actuator. If washer and circlip are found missing or loose, replace the actuator. (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| 4.Inspect the hydraulic hose for: | | |
| A.Damage | No damage permitted | If you find some damage, replace the hydraulic hose (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| B.Hydraulic leakage | No hydraulic leakage permitted | If there is leakage, check coupling nuts for correct torque (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041). |
| | | If the leakage continues, replace the hydraulic hose (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041) |
| 5.Examine the door opening actuator cooling jackets, look for: | | |
| A.Blocked Drain | Not allowed | If the drain holes are blocked, remove blockage before next flight. |
| B.Cracks or Dents | None allowed | If crack or dents are found replace the cooling jacket (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041). |
| 6.Examine the door opening actuator flexible cooling hoses, look for: | | |
| A.Wear or Cuts | Wear or cuts are allowed if they are not fully through the hose | If the wear of cut is fully thru the hose then replace the hose (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041). |
| B.Holes | None allowed | If a hole is found then replace the cooling hose (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-000-041) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041). |
| 7.Examine the clamps and the parts that attach the clamps, look for: | | |
| A.Missing clamp or attaching part | None allowed | If a clamp or nut is missing replace it AIPC 78-36-51- (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-51-400-041). |
