Examine the Thrust Reverser C-Duct Non-Locking Actuator for Hydraulic Fluid Leakage [IAE]

TASK 78-32-48-200-010-A
Examine the Thrust Reverser C-Duct Non-Locking Actuator for Hydraulic Fluid Leakage

1. Reason for the Job
This TASK supplies hydraulic fluid leakage limits for the left and the right c-duct non-locking actuator. Leakage can occur from the forward end cap/jack head interface or rod end seals. A small amount of leakage is acceptable for a limited continued service.

C. Check for Leaks using the Following Limits

FOR NORMAL OPERATION
FOR DISPATCH TO AVOID DELAY
Static Seals
None
2 Drops per 10 minutes
Rod seal (system
pressurized)
1 Drop per minute
30 Drops per minute
Rod seal(in operation)
1 Drop per cycle
2 Drops per cycle
NOTE: If an aircraft has component leaks or system leaks (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-790-001) which are more than the normal operation limit or system leak rate limit, aircraft dispatch is permitted if:
  • component leak rate is lower than the dispatch limit
  • one hydraulic circuit only has component leaks more than the maximum limit
  • for one system, the quantity of the leaks is less than the dispatch limit authorized for the circuit
  • the hydraulic reservoirs are full
  • you do the above checks again before each flight
   (1) Reactivate the Thrust Reverser
     (a) Reactivate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-012).
