A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Deactivate the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 78-32-00-010-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). D. Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):

E. Clean the C-duct Heatshields
(1) Clean the C-duct heatshields with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) .
4. Procedure(1) Clean the C-duct heatshields with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) .
Subtask 78-32-00-210-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Examination of the C-Duct Heatshields, Heatshield Aft Closure and Fire Seals
If loose, reject the attachments.
(2) Examine the C-duct heatshields for wear, thermal damage, cracks, rips, tears and punctures (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-49-200-012) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-79-200-014) on paragraph about the examination of heatshield.
(3) Examine the C-duct heatshield aft closure for cracks that emanate from the fastener holes SRM 543000 Repair No. 60 (VRS2555) for repair.
(4) Examine the C-duct fire seals for security of attachment.
(5) Examine the C-duct fire seals for wear, thermal damage, cracks, rips, tears and punctures.
(6) Examine the ACC duct seals for damageCMM 783000 .
(7) Examine the ACAC duct seal for damageCMM 783000 .
5. Close-upNOTE: Use the LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION as necessary.
(1) Examine the C-duct heatshields for security of attachment. If loose, reject the attachments.
(2) Examine the C-duct heatshields for wear, thermal damage, cracks, rips, tears and punctures (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-49-200-012) and (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-79-200-014) on paragraph about the examination of heatshield.
(3) Examine the C-duct heatshield aft closure for cracks that emanate from the fastener holes SRM 543000 Repair No. 60 (VRS2555) for repair.
(4) Examine the C-duct fire seals for security of attachment.
(5) Examine the C-duct fire seals for wear, thermal damage, cracks, rips, tears and punctures.
(6) Examine the ACC duct seals for damage
