Removal of the Right TRAS Monitoring Harness
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AND THE ADJACENT COMPONENTS AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE OIL AND THE ADJACENT COMPONENTS CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 78-31-61-010-095-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the right thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

A. Removal of the Right TRAS Monitoring Harness
(1) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon harness (4054VC-A) and (4055VC-A) connectors from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(2) Remove the eight bolts (2) and the eight washers (3) that attach the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4054VC) and (4055VC) connectors to the torque box disconnect panel.
(3) Remove the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the torque box disconnect panel.
(4) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the right TRAS harness (1) (4004KS-A), (4033KS-A) and (4041KS-A) connectors from the feedback locking actuator.
(5) Remove the three bolts (4) and the three washers (5) that attach the three clamps (6) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the actuator brackets (7) and (8).
(a) Remove the three clamps (6) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(6) Remove the two bolts (4) and two washers (5) that attach the actuator brackets (7) and (8) to the feedback locking actuator.
(7) Remove the bolt (9) and washer (10) that attach the clamp (11), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (9) and washer (10) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(8) Remove the bolt (14) and washer (13) that attach the clamp (12) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box. Install the bolt (14) and washer (13) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(a) Remove the clamp (12) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(9) Remove the two bolts (17) and the two washers (16) that attach the two clamps (15), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the two clamps and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the two bolts (9) and two washers (10) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(10) Remove the five bolts (18) and the five washers (19) that attach the five clamps (20), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the five clamps and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the five bolts (18) and five washers (19) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(11) Remove the four nuts (21) and the four washers (22) that attach the four clamps (23), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the four clamps, the four supports and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the four nuts (21) and four washers (22) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(12) Remove the bolt (24) and washer (25) that attach the clamp (26), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (24) and washer (25) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(14) Remove the bolt (27) and washer (28) that attach the clamp (29), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (27) and washer (28) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(15) Remove the bolt (30) and washer (31) that attach the clamp (32), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (30) and washer (31) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(16) Remove the bolt (35) and washer (34) that attach the clamp (33) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box. Install the bolt (35) and washer (34) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(a) Remove the clamp (33) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(17) Remove the bolt (38) and washer (37) that attach the clamp (36), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (38) and washer (37) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(18) Remove the two bolts (39) and the two washers (40) that attach the two clamps (41) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the latch beam. Install the two bolts (39) and two washers (40) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(a) Remove the two clamps (41) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(19) Remove the track lock cover (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-38-000-801).
(20) Remove the right aft latch beam blanket from the thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-71-000-802).
(21) Remove the right forward latch beam blanket from the thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-71-000-802).
(22) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4039KS-A) and (4047KS-A) connectors from the track lock.
(23) Remove the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the two spring clips.
(24) Remove the three grommets (42) and the two grommets (43) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(25) Remove the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the thrust reverser.
(1) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon harness (4054VC-A) and (4055VC-A) connectors from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(2) Remove the eight bolts (2) and the eight washers (3) that attach the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4054VC) and (4055VC) connectors to the torque box disconnect panel.
(3) Remove the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the torque box disconnect panel.
(4) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the right TRAS harness (1) (4004KS-A), (4033KS-A) and (4041KS-A) connectors from the feedback locking actuator.
(5) Remove the three bolts (4) and the three washers (5) that attach the three clamps (6) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the actuator brackets (7) and (8).
(a) Remove the three clamps (6) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(6) Remove the two bolts (4) and two washers (5) that attach the actuator brackets (7) and (8) to the feedback locking actuator.
(7) Remove the bolt (9) and washer (10) that attach the clamp (11), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (9) and washer (10) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (11) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1). (8) Remove the bolt (14) and washer (13) that attach the clamp (12) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box. Install the bolt (14) and washer (13) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(a) Remove the clamp (12) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(9) Remove the two bolts (17) and the two washers (16) that attach the two clamps (15), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the two clamps and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the two bolts (9) and two washers (10) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the right track lock harness.
(a) Remove the two clamps (15) from the right TRAS monitoring harness. (10) Remove the five bolts (18) and the five washers (19) that attach the five clamps (20), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the five clamps and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the five bolts (18) and five washers (19) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the right track lock harness.
(a) Remove the five clamps (20) from the right TRAS monitoring harness. (11) Remove the four nuts (21) and the four washers (22) that attach the four clamps (23), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the four clamps, the four supports and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the four nuts (21) and four washers (22) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the right track lock harness.
NOTE: Do not remove the supports from the torque box.
(a) Remove the four clamps (23) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1). (12) Remove the bolt (24) and washer (25) that attach the clamp (26), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (24) and washer (25) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right track lock harness.
(13) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4043KS-A) and (4035KS-A) connectors from the locking actuator. (14) Remove the bolt (27) and washer (28) that attach the clamp (29), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (27) and washer (28) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (29) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1). (15) Remove the bolt (30) and washer (31) that attach the clamp (32), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (30) and washer (31) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (32) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1). (16) Remove the bolt (35) and washer (34) that attach the clamp (33) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box. Install the bolt (35) and washer (34) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(a) Remove the clamp (33) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(17) Remove the bolt (38) and washer (37) that attach the clamp (36), the right TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the right track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (38) and washer (37) again to the right track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the right track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (36) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1). (18) Remove the two bolts (39) and the two washers (40) that attach the two clamps (41) and the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the latch beam. Install the two bolts (39) and two washers (40) again to the right track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(a) Remove the two clamps (41) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(19) Remove the track lock cover (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-38-000-801).
(20) Remove the right aft latch beam blanket from the thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-71-000-802).
(21) Remove the right forward latch beam blanket from the thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-71-000-802).
(22) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4039KS-A) and (4047KS-A) connectors from the track lock.
(23) Remove the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the two spring clips.
(24) Remove the three grommets (42) and the two grommets (43) from the right TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(25) Remove the right TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the thrust reverser.
