Removal of the Left TRAS Monitoring Harness

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 78-31-61-010-093-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Open the left thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the left thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

A. Removal of the Left TRAS Monitoring Harness
(1) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon harness (4052VC-A) and (4053VC-A) connectors from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(2) Remove the eight bolts (2) and the eight washers (3) that attach the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) connectors (4052VC) and (4053VC) to the torque box disconnect panel.
(3) Remove the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the torque box disconnect panel.
(4) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4003KS-A), (4032KS-A) and (4040KS-A) connectors from the feedback locking actuator.
(5) Remove the two bolts (6) and the two washers (5) that attach the two clamps (4) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the actuator bracket (7).
(a) Remove the two clamps (4) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(6) Remove the two bolts (6) and the two washers (5) that attach the actuator bracket (7) to the feedback locking actuator.
(7) Remove the bolt (8) and washer (9) that attach the clamp (10), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (8) and washer (9) again on the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(8) Remove the bolt (11) and washer (12) that attach the clamp (13) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box.
(a) Remove the clamp (13) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(9) Remove the bolt (14) and washer (15) that attach the clamp (16) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box.
(a) Remove the clamp (16) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(10) Remove the two bolts (17) and the two washers (18) that attach the two clamps (19), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the two clamps and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the two bolts (17) and the two washers (18) again on the left track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(11) Remove the six bolts (20) and the six washers (21) that attach the six clamps (22), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the six clamps and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the six bolts (20) and the six washers (21) again on the left track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(12) Remove the four nuts (23) and the four washers (24) that attach the four clamps (25), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the four washers, the four clamps, the four supports and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the four nuts (23) and the four washers (24) again on the left track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
(13) Remove the bolt (26) and washer (27) that attach the clamp (28), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (26) and washer (27) again to the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(14) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4034KS-A) and (4042KS-A) connectors from the locking actuator.
(15) Remove the bolt (29) and washer (30) that attach the clamp (31), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (29) and washer (30) again on the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(16) Remove the bolt (32) and washer (33) that attach the clamp (34) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box.
(a) Remove the clamp (34) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(17) Remove the bolt (35) and washer (36) that attach the clamp (37), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (35) and washer (36) again on the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
(18) Remove the two bolts (38) and the two washers (39) that attach the two clamps (40) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the latch beam.
(a) Remove the two clamps (40) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(19) Remove the track lock cover (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-38-000-801).
(20) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4038KS-A) and (4046KS-A) connectors from the track lock.
(21) Remove the left aft latch beam blanket and the left forward latch beam blanket from the inner fixed structure of the left thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-803).
(22) Remove the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the two spring clips.
(23) Remove the three grommets (41) and the two grommets (42) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(24) Remove the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the latch beam and the thrust reverser.
(1) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the pylon harness (4052VC-A) and (4053VC-A) connectors from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(2) Remove the eight bolts (2) and the eight washers (3) that attach the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) connectors (4052VC) and (4053VC) to the torque box disconnect panel.
(3) Remove the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the torque box disconnect panel.
(4) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4003KS-A), (4032KS-A) and (4040KS-A) connectors from the feedback locking actuator.
(5) Remove the two bolts (6) and the two washers (5) that attach the two clamps (4) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the actuator bracket (7).
(a) Remove the two clamps (4) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(6) Remove the two bolts (6) and the two washers (5) that attach the actuator bracket (7) to the feedback locking actuator.
(7) Remove the bolt (8) and washer (9) that attach the clamp (10), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (8) and washer (9) again on the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the left track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (10) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (8) Remove the bolt (11) and washer (12) that attach the clamp (13) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box.
(a) Remove the clamp (13) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(9) Remove the bolt (14) and washer (15) that attach the clamp (16) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box.
(a) Remove the clamp (16) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(10) Remove the two bolts (17) and the two washers (18) that attach the two clamps (19), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the two clamps and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the two bolts (17) and the two washers (18) again on the left track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the left track lock harness.
(a) Remove the two clamps (19) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (11) Remove the six bolts (20) and the six washers (21) that attach the six clamps (22), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the six clamps and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the six bolts (20) and the six washers (21) again on the left track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the left track lock harness.
(a) Remove the six clamps (22) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (12) Remove the four nuts (23) and the four washers (24) that attach the four clamps (25), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the four washers, the four clamps, the four supports and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the four nuts (23) and the four washers (24) again on the left track lock harness clamps finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the left track lock harness.
NOTE: Do not remove the supports from the torque box.
(a) Remove the four clamps (25) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (13) Remove the bolt (26) and washer (27) that attach the clamp (28), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (26) and washer (27) again to the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the left track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (28) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (14) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4034KS-A) and (4042KS-A) connectors from the locking actuator.
(15) Remove the bolt (29) and washer (30) that attach the clamp (31), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (29) and washer (30) again on the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamp from the left track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (31) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (16) Remove the bolt (32) and washer (33) that attach the clamp (34) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the torque box.
(a) Remove the clamp (34) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(17) Remove the bolt (35) and washer (36) that attach the clamp (37), the left TRAS monitoring harness (1), the clamp and the left track lock harness to the torque box. Install the bolt (35) and washer (36) again on the left track lock harness clamp finger-tight.
NOTE: Do not remove the clamps from the left track lock harness.
(a) Remove the clamp (37) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1). (18) Remove the two bolts (38) and the two washers (39) that attach the two clamps (40) and the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) to the latch beam.
(a) Remove the two clamps (40) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(19) Remove the track lock cover (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-38-000-801).
(20) Use PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT to disconnect the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) (4038KS-A) and (4046KS-A) connectors from the track lock.
(21) Remove the left aft latch beam blanket and the left forward latch beam blanket from the inner fixed structure of the left thrust reverser (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-000-803).
(22) Remove the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the two spring clips.
(23) Remove the three grommets (41) and the two grommets (42) from the left TRAS monitoring harness (1).
(24) Remove the left TRAS monitoring harness (1) from the latch beam and the thrust reverser.
