3. Job Set-up
Subtask 78-31-18-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
(4) Make sure that the blocker doors are deployed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-001).
(5) Make sure that the HIX3005 SAFETY SLEEVE - PIVOTING DOOR ACTUATOR is on the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-480-001).

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

C. Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

4. Procedure
Subtask 78-31-18-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the blocker door stow-switch
(1) Put the blocker door stow-switch on to the aft side of the forward frame.
(2) Install the bolts and the nuts which attach the stow-switch.
(3) TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )

(4) Apply sealant:

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

(a) Apply RTV 106 (Material No.CP2267) between the stow-switch and the forward frame.
(5) Connect the electrical harness on to the connector of the blocker door stow-switch.
(6) Tighten the coupling nut of the stow-switch connector with the PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG.

A. Remove the safety sleeve (HIX-3005) from the blocker door actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-080-001).

B. Move the blocker doors :

CAUTION: BLOCKER DOOR LATCH MUST BE OPENED WHEN YOU CLOSE THE BLOCKER DOOR OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

(1) Manually move the blocker doors to the closed position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-41-860-002).

C. Make the thrust reverser serviceable (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040)

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
