C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
4. ProcedureWARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 78-30-00-440-074-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Reactivation of the thrust reverser hinge access panel flipper door.
(2) Remove the applicable thrust reverser hinge access panel from the thrust reverser hinge beam. (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-06-000-801).
(3) Install the new thrust reverser hinge access panel on the thrust reverser hinge beam (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-06-400-801).
5. Close-upNOTE: This procedure is for the hinge access panel flipper door on the left thrust reverser half. The procedure for the hinge access panel flipper door on the right thrust reverser half is opposite.
(1) Carefully, remove the high speed tape from the thrust reverser hinge access panel. (2) Remove the applicable thrust reverser hinge access panel from the thrust reverser hinge beam. (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-06-000-801).
(3) Install the new thrust reverser hinge access panel on the thrust reverser hinge beam (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-06-400-801).
