A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-32-05-010-062-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
Subtask 75-32-05-010-063-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):

IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.
Subtask 75-32-05-020-051-A A. Removal of the Left Variable Stator Vane (VSV) Actuator
(1) Remove the engine kit segment shroud 5 (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-01-000-801).
(2) Remove the No. 6 Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) duct (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-80-000-801).
(3) Remove the bolt (44) that attaches the loop clamp (43) to the support bracket (41).
(4) Disconnect the T-3 sensor connector (77) from the T-3 sensor (76).
(5) Disconnect the Low Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (LPTACC) valve connector (74) from the LPTACC valve (75).
(6) Disconnect the High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (HPTACC) connector (72) from the HPTACC valve (73).
(7) Disconnect the electrical connector (53) from the left VSV actuator (49). Use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
(8) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the left VSV actuator (49).
(9) Disconnect the drain tube (56) B-nut from the left VSV actuator (49) and let the fuel drain.
(10) Remove the four bolts (55) that attach the fuel-hydraulic VSV tube-hose (50) to the left VSV actuator (49).
(11) Remove and discard the gasket seal (54).
(12) Remove the left VBV connector (79) from the left VBV actuator (78).
(13) Remove the bolt (58), bushing (57), washer (65) and nut (64) that attach the left VSV actuator rod (51) and connecting link (61) to the bell crank assembly (52).
(14) Remove the bolt (59), bushing (60), washer (62) and nut (63) that attach the connecting link (61) to the left VSV actuator rod (51).
(15) Remove the bolt (70), spacer (69) and nut (71) that attach the bell crank assembly (52) to the left VSV actuator (49).
(16) Remove the bolt (66) and nut (67) that attach the bell crank assembly (52) to the left VSV actuator (49) and remove the left VSV actuator (49) from the engine.
(17) Remove the sleeve (68) from the left VSV actuator (49).
(18) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and the disconnected connectors.
Subtask 75-32-05-620-051-A (1) Remove the engine kit segment shroud 5 (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-01-000-801).
(2) Remove the No. 6 Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) duct (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-80-000-801).
(3) Remove the bolt (44) that attaches the loop clamp (43) to the support bracket (41).
(4) Disconnect the T-3 sensor connector (77) from the T-3 sensor (76).
(5) Disconnect the Low Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (LPTACC) valve connector (74) from the LPTACC valve (75).
(6) Disconnect the High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (HPTACC) connector (72) from the HPTACC valve (73).
(7) Disconnect the electrical connector (53) from the left VSV actuator (49). Use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
(8) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the left VSV actuator (49).
(9) Disconnect the drain tube (56) B-nut from the left VSV actuator (49) and let the fuel drain.
(10) Remove the four bolts (55) that attach the fuel-hydraulic VSV tube-hose (50) to the left VSV actuator (49).
(11) Remove and discard the gasket seal (54).
(12) Remove the left VBV connector (79) from the left VBV actuator (78).
(13) Remove the bolt (58), bushing (57), washer (65) and nut (64) that attach the left VSV actuator rod (51) and connecting link (61) to the bell crank assembly (52).
(14) Remove the bolt (59), bushing (60), washer (62) and nut (63) that attach the connecting link (61) to the left VSV actuator rod (51).
(15) Remove the bolt (70), spacer (69) and nut (71) that attach the bell crank assembly (52) to the left VSV actuator (49).
(16) Remove the bolt (66) and nut (67) that attach the bell crank assembly (52) to the left VSV actuator (49) and remove the left VSV actuator (49) from the engine.
(17) Remove the sleeve (68) from the left VSV actuator (49).
(18) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and the disconnected connectors.
B. Preservation of the Left VSV Actuator
