HPTACC Valve LocationSubtask 75-21-10-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 75-21-10-861-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 75-21-10-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

Subtask 75-21-10-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the HPTACC as follows:
(1) Disconnect the Channel A (260) and Channel B (250) electrical connector, from the High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (HPTACC) valve (10). Use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT if necessary.
(2) Install CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors of the leads for Channel A (260) and Channel B (250).
Subtask 75-21-10-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the Channel A (260) and Channel B (250) electrical connector, from the High Pressure Turbine Active Clearance Control (HPTACC) valve (10). Use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT if necessary.
(2) Install CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors of the leads for Channel A (260) and Channel B (250).
B. Removal of the HPTACC Valve
(1) Remove the fuel manifold (290) from the HPTACC valve (10) as follows:
(a) Put the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the area of the fuel manifold (290) of the HPTACC valve (10).
(b) Remove the bolts (300) from the bracket and the fuel manifold (290).
(c) Remove the bolts (310) from the fuel manifold (290).
(d) Remove the gasket (280) from the fuel manifold (290) and the HPTACC valve (10). Then, do an inspection of the gasket (280).
(e) Install the COVER - BLANKING on the fuel inlet of the HPTACC valve (10) and the outlet of the fuel manifold (290).

(2) Remove the 9th-stage air-inlet tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (80) from the inlet side of the 9th-stage air tube (70) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(b) Remove and discard the gasket (90).
(c) Remove the bolts (160) and the nut (130) from the outlet side of the 9th-stage air-tube elbow (120).
(d) Remove and discard the gaskets (155) and the orifice plate (150).
(e) Install the COVER - BLANKING on the inlet port (70) and the outlet port (140) of the 9th-stage air tubes.

(3) Remove the HPTCC manifold inlet-tube from the HPTACC as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (80) from the inlet side of the 9th-stage air tube (70) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(b) Remove and discard the gasket (90).
(c) Install a COVER - BLANKING on the inlet port (70) and the outlet port (2480M87G01) of the HPTCC manifold tube.

(4) Remove the 4th-stage air-outlet tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Loosen the nut (180) of the V-band clamp (190) at the 4th-stage air-outlet port (140) of the HPTACC valve (10).
(b) Remove the V-band clamp (190) from the HPTACC valve (10).
(c) If necessary, to make the removal easier, loosen the bolts (210) of the retaining strap (200) that safeties the 4th and 9th stage air-tube (140).
(d) Remove and discard the metal seal ring (170).

(5) Remove the HPTCC Manifold outlet-tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Removal of the lockwire
(b) Remove the V-band clamp (190) from the HPTACC valve (10).
(c) If necessary, to make the removal easier, loosen the bolts (210) of the retaining strap (200) that attaches the HPTCC manifold tube (2480M87G01).
(d) Remove and discard the metal seal ring (170).

(6) Remove the 4th-stage air inlet tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Removal of the lockwire
(b) Remove and discard the gasket (30).

(c) Install a COVER - BLANKING on the outlet port of the 4th-stage air tube (140).

(d) Install a COVER - BLANKING on the outlet port (2480M87G01) of the HPTCC manifold tube.

(7) Remove the HPTACC from the HPC front case boss as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (50) and (60) that attach the HPTACC valve (10) to the bracket.
(b) Loosen the bolt (220) of the loop clamp (230) of the 9th-stage air tube (70).

(c) Remove the HPTACC valve (10) from the HPC front case boss (20).
(d) Remove the bolts (110) from the 9th-stage air-outlet elbow (120) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(e) Remove and discard the gasket (100).
(f) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet and outlet ports of the 9th-stage air-outlet elbow (120).

(g) Remove the bolts (110) from the HPTCC manifold (2480M87G01) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(h) Remove and discard the gasket (100).
(i) Install PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet and outlet ports of the HPTCC manifold (2480M87G01).

(j) Install PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet and outlet ports of the 4th-stage ports of the HPTACC valve (10).
(k) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet port of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10).
(l) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the boss of the 4th-stage air-inlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) at the HPC front case boss (20).
(m) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the outlet port of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10).
(n) Install a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors on the HPTACC valve for Channel A (270) and Channel B (240).
(1) Remove the fuel manifold (290) from the HPTACC valve (10) as follows:
(a) Put the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the area of the fuel manifold (290) of the HPTACC valve (10).
(b) Remove the bolts (300) from the bracket and the fuel manifold (290).
(c) Remove the bolts (310) from the fuel manifold (290).
(d) Remove the gasket (280) from the fuel manifold (290) and the HPTACC valve (10). Then, do an inspection of the gasket (280).
(e) Install the COVER - BLANKING on the fuel inlet of the HPTACC valve (10) and the outlet of the fuel manifold (290).

(2) Remove the 9th-stage air-inlet tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (80) from the inlet side of the 9th-stage air tube (70) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(b) Remove and discard the gasket (90).
(c) Remove the bolts (160) and the nut (130) from the outlet side of the 9th-stage air-tube elbow (120).
(d) Remove and discard the gaskets (155) and the orifice plate (150).
(e) Install the COVER - BLANKING on the inlet port (70) and the outlet port (140) of the 9th-stage air tubes.

(4) Remove the 4th-stage air-outlet tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:

(5) Remove the HPTCC Manifold outlet-tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Removal of the lockwire
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
1 Remove the lockwire and loosen the nut (180) of the V-band clamp (190) on the HPTCC Manifold outlet-port (2480M87G01) of the HPTACC valve (10). (b) Remove the V-band clamp (190) from the HPTACC valve (10).
(c) If necessary, to make the removal easier, loosen the bolts (210) of the retaining strap (200) that attaches the HPTCC manifold tube (2480M87G01).
(d) Remove and discard the metal seal ring (170).

(6) Remove the 4th-stage air inlet tube from the HPTACC valve as follows:
(a) Removal of the lockwire
WARNING:

1 Remove the lockwire and the bolts (40) from the 4th-stage air-inlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the HPC front case boss (20). (b) Remove and discard the gasket (30).

(c) Install a COVER - BLANKING on the outlet port of the 4th-stage air tube (140).

(d) Install a COVER - BLANKING on the outlet port (2480M87G01) of the HPTCC manifold tube.

(7) Remove the HPTACC from the HPC front case boss as follows:
(a) Remove the bolts (50) and (60) that attach the HPTACC valve (10) to the bracket.
(b) Loosen the bolt (220) of the loop clamp (230) of the 9th-stage air tube (70).

(c) Remove the HPTACC valve (10) from the HPC front case boss (20).
(d) Remove the bolts (110) from the 9th-stage air-outlet elbow (120) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(e) Remove and discard the gasket (100).
(f) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet and outlet ports of the 9th-stage air-outlet elbow (120).

(g) Remove the bolts (110) from the HPTCC manifold (2480M87G01) and the HPTACC valve (10).
(h) Remove and discard the gasket (100).

(j) Install PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet and outlet ports of the 4th-stage ports of the HPTACC valve (10).
(k) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the inlet port of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10).
(l) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the boss of the 4th-stage air-inlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) at the HPC front case boss (20).
(m) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the outlet port of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10).
(n) Install a CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connectors on the HPTACC valve for Channel A (270) and Channel B (240).
