WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

E. Get Access
   (1) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 73-21-63-020-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Wiring Harness (W03)
   (1) Find the harness (W03) (1) attached to the left and right side of the fan case and to the left and right side of the engine core. See Sheets 1 thru 14 of the figure:
   (2) Remove the harness (W03) (1) from the engine with a PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows: see Sheets 1 thru 14 of the figure:
     (a) Remove the bolt (12) from the brackets (13) and (14) and disengage the harness (W03) (1) from the block clamp (11) at two locations. See Sheet 2 of the figure:
     (b) Remove the bolt (12) from the brackets (15) and (17) and disengage the harness (W03) (1) from the block clamp (16).
     (c) Disassemble the lower bifi as necessary to remove the harness (W03) (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-11-000-801).
     (d) Remove and discard the three tie - electrical cables (50) from the harness (W03) (1). See Sheets 1 and 3 of the figure:
     (e) Disconnect the connector (P12) from the Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA) receptacle (J12). See Sheet 4 of the figure:
     (f) Disconnect the connector (P33) from the oil temperature probe receptacle (J33).
     (g) Disconnect the connector (P54) from the Variable Oil Reduction Valve (VORV) receptacle (J54).
     (h) Disconnect the connector (P61) from the air/oil pressure sensor receptacle (J61).

POST SB C-72-00-0058A (Configuration 2 - Sensor Relocation Configuration)

     (i) Disconnect the harness (W03) (1) connector (P32) from the forward vibration sensor receptacle (J32). See Sheets 1 and 12 of the figure:

     (j) Disconnect the connector (P18) from the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) Stator Vane Actuator (SVA) receptacle (J18). See Sheets 5 of the figure:
     (k) Disconnect the connector (P39) from the P3 air pressure sensor receptacle (J39).
     (l) Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) harness connector (P43) from the harness (W03) (1) receptacle (J43).
     (m) Disconnect the connector (P57) from the buffer air valve solenoid receptacle (J21).
     (n) Disconnect the harness (WC10) connector (P110) from the harness (W03) (1) receptacle (J110).
     (o) Remove the bolt (27) from the forward side of the upper bracket.
     (p) Remove the two bolts (28) and the harness (W03) (1) from the bracket.
     (q) Disconnect the connector (P36) from the oil debris monitoring sensor receptacle (J36). See Sheet 6 of the figure:
     (r) Disconnect the connector (P41) from the oil quantity sensor receptacle (J41).
     (s) Disconnect the connectors (P4), (P6) and (P14) from the EEC receptacles (J4), (J6) and (J14). See Sheet 8 of the figure:
     (t) Disconnect the connector (P10) from the Prognostic and Health Monitoring Unit (PHMU) receptacle (J10).
     (u) Disconnect the connector (P101) from the harness (WF01) receptacle (J101).
     (v) Disconnect the connector (P66) from the exciter box receptacle (J66). See Sheet 9 of the figure:
     (w) Disconnect the connectors (P106) and (P107) from the harness (W04) receptacles (J106) and (J107).
     (x) Disconnect the connector (P48) from the N1 speed probe receptacle (J48). See Sheet 10 of the figure:
     (y) Disconnect the connector (P64) from the N2 speed probe receptacle (J64).
     (z) Disconnect the connector (P16) from the integrated fuel pump and control receptacle (J16). See Sheet 11 of the figure:
     (aa) Disconnect the connector (P24) from the High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Stator Vane Actuator (SVA) receptacle (J24).
     (ab) Disconnect the connector (P51) from the aft vibration sensor receptacle (J51).
     (ac) Disconnect the connector (P20) from the nacelle anti-ice P1 sensor receptacle (J20). See Sheet 13 of the figure:
     (ad) Disconnect the connector (P56) from the HPC bleed valve air pressure sensor receptacle (J56).
     (ae) Disconnect the connector (P59) from the nacelle anti-ice valve solenoid (lower) receptacle (J59).
     (af) Remove the harness (W03) (1) from all the spring clips.
     (ag) Remove the tape - pressure sensitive adhesive (60) and the sleeve (70) from the harness (W03) (1) if necessary. See Sheets 1 and 15 of the figure:
     (ah) Remove the tape - pressure sensitive adhesive (60) from the harness (W03) (1) at the spring clip if necessary.
     (ai) Remove the harness (W03) (1) from the engine.
   (3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent engine damage.
