A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-11-60-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the IDG Oil Cooler
CAUTION: FOR FORWARD BRACKETS REWORKED PER SB 72-225, MAKE SURE THAT BONDED WASHERS ARE INSTALLED.
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads of 4 bolts (10) and (40). Install and attach the IDG oil cooler onto the brackets with the 4 bolts. TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN ) T.

   (4) Make sure that 2 RTV bonded washers (50) are installed on brackets marked "SB 72-225 P/N 336-488-909-0". If not, reinstall washers per SB 72-225, detail C

   (5) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads on 4 bolts (10) and (40). Install threaded plates (60) in rear machined bracket, detail D.

   (6) Install and attach the IDG oil cooler onto the brackets with the 4 bolts. TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 100 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.13 m.daN ) T.

   (7) Attach the fuel supply tube to the flange of IDG oil cooler port as follows :
     (a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean.
     (b) If serviceable, lubricate the used gasket with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) and install it.
     (c) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads of 4 bolts, and attach the fuel tube to the oil cooler.
     (d) TORQUE the bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN ) T
   (8) Attach the fuel return tube to the flange of IDG oil cooler port as follows :
     (a) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean.
     (b) If serviceable, lubricate the used gasket with engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) and install it.
     (c) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the threads of 4 bolts, and attach the fuel tube to the oil cooler. TORQUE the bolts to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN ) T.
   (9) Lubricate the threads of the IDG oil cooler nipples with engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) and reconnect oil supply and return tubes. Tighten the coupling nuts by hand.
     (a) TORQUE the coupling nut of the oil supply tube to between 58.3 and 52.5 lbf.ft (7.90 and 7.12 m.daN ) T.
     (b) TORQUE the coupling nut of the oil return tube to between 83.3 and 75 lbf.ft (11.29 and 10.17 m.daN )
T.
     (c) Lubricate a new
AIPC 73-11-60-01-070 O-RING (20) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) and install the O-ring in the seal groove of the drain plug (30).
   (10) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) to the drain plug, and install it. TORQUE the drain plug to between 55 and 45 lbf.in (0.62 and 0.51 m.daN ) T. Safety with CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8002lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia.
