A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is OFF.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 72-32-00-020-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Remove the VSV Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-10-000-002).

B. Removal of the VSV Bellcrank Assembly
(1) Remove the bolts (70) and the nuts (80) that attach the rod-ends of the connecting links to the actuation ring clevises.
(2) Remove the bolts (20), (21), (23) and (25), washers (30) and (40), mounting sleeve (50) and mounting spacer (60) that attach the VSV bellcrank to the stator case.
(3) Remove the VSV bellcrank assembly from the engine.

NOTE: A check of the High-Pressure-Compressor VSV System-Resistance, as specified in the Installation of the VSV Bellcrank Assembly, is required prior to return to service.
