(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance
4. ProcedureWARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). Subtask 71-61-10-630-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Depreservation of the Inlet Cowl Lipskin after Storage
(1) Make sure that you remove and install all the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(2) Make sure that you wipe clean all parts and tools as necessary to remove unwanted debris and prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(3) Remove the protective coating from the inlet cowl lipskin:
(a) Remove the tapes and peel off the protective coating with your hands. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer if necessary.
(b) Remove the protective coating. You can use thePU10-0007 Scraper, Non-Metallic to help you. Do not use tools harder than the aluminum lipskin to prevent damage.
(c) Clean the surface of the inlet cowl lipskin with a cleanPU1-0001 Cotton Cloth, Lint-Free and PU2-0001 Alcohol, Isopropyl .
(d) Remove thePU2-0001 Alcohol, Isopropyl with a clean PU1-0001 Cotton Cloth, Lint-Free before the solvent dries.
(4) Examine the inlet cowl lipskin (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-10-210-801).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that you remove and install all the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(2) Make sure that you wipe clean all parts and tools as necessary to remove unwanted debris and prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(3) Remove the protective coating from the inlet cowl lipskin:
(a) Remove the tapes and peel off the protective coating with your hands. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer if necessary.
