DETAILED INSPECTION OF AFT ENGINE MOUNT INSTALLATION
These inspection criteria are only for those parts of the engine that you can see when the engine is installed on an airplane. The limits and remarks are not applicable to the areas of the mount that you cannot see when the engine is installed. Inspection of these areas are included in the ESM and CMM.

DETAILED INSPECTION OF AFT ENGINE MOUNT INSTALLATION
These inspection criteria are only for those parts of the engine that you can see when the engine is installed on an airplane. The limits and remarks are not applicable to the areas of the mount that you cannot see when the engine is installed. Inspection of these areas are included in the ESM and CMM.
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is "ALL". To know if this task is applicable for your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability and the weight variant data given in the SRM introduction.
NOTE: The links have a spherical bearing at each end and can therefore rotate about the link axis if unloaded.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

A. Do a Detailed Visual Inspection of the Aft Engine Mount
(1) Clean any dirt or unwanted material from the aft engine mount with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . Use a FLASHLIGHT and an MIRROR - INSPECTION to examine areas of the engine mount that are hard to see.
(2) Do this inspection on those areas of the aft engine mount that are visible without the removal of any hardware.
Visually examine for cracks. Give special attention to critical areas:

Visually examine for cracks. Give special attention to critical areas:

B. Do a visual Inspection of the Aft Engine Mount
(1) Examine the retaining pins for bent shape and surface defects. Replace the damaged parts.
(2) Make sure that the pins and the bolts are correctly installed.
(3) Examine the retainers for cracks, wear, and surface damage. Replace the damaged parts.
(4) Examine the brackets for cracks, wear, and surface damage. Replace the damaged parts. Replace the engine mount.
5. Close-up(1) Examine the retaining pins for bent shape and surface defects. Replace the damaged parts.
(2) Make sure that the pins and the bolts are correctly installed.
(3) Examine the retainers for cracks, wear, and surface damage. Replace the damaged parts.
(4) Examine the brackets for cracks, wear, and surface damage. Replace the damaged parts. Replace the engine mount.
