   (3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

   (2) Remove the applicable access panels:

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Remove Items for Inspection
   (1) One at a time, remove the five hinge pins from each aileron and replace them with the 98D27104004000 SLAVE PIN - AILERON (Ref. AMM TASK 27-14-41-000-001).

B. Preparation for Inspection
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the hinge pins.

C. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Trailing Edge, Aileron Hinge Pins 1 to 5
   (1) Examine the hinge pins for:
  • damage
  • scratches and/or scores
  • corrosion
  • correct condition of the surface protection.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.

D. Install items after Inspection
   (1) One at a time, remove the five 98D27104004000 SLAVE PIN - AILERON from each aileron and replace them with the hinge pins (Ref. AMM TASK 27-14-41-400-001).
