Installation of the Access Panel
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Make sure that the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING are installed on the CAPT and F/O side sticks.
(5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position on the CAPT and F/O side sticks. This is to tell persons not to operate the ailerons.
Subtask 57-51-37-860-054-A (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 57-51-37-420-059-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .

B. Installation of the Access Panel 575AT(675AT)
(1) Install all panel inserts that have fallen out in the applicable holes with:
(3) Install the bolts (2) but do not tighten. Make sure that you can move the access panel (1) sufficient to adjust its position.
(4) Set the access panel (1) so that:

(6) Fill the clearance between the access panel (1) edges and the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
Subtask 57-51-37-420-059-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install all panel inserts that have fallen out in the applicable holes with:
- Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) or Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 2 (Material No.05EML8) or Paste Adhesive-Epoxy Core Restoration - (Material No.13FBC6) .
(3) Install the bolts (2) but do not tighten. Make sure that you can move the access panel (1) sufficient to adjust its position.
(4) Set the access panel (1) so that:
- the dimension W is 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) + 2.3 mm (0.0906 in.)/- 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.) along the full length of the panel
- the dimension X is 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) +/- 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full width of the panel inboard end
- the dimension Y is 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.) + 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.)/- 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.) along the full width of the panel outboard end
- the dimension Z is 0.0 mm (0.0000 in.) + 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full length of the panel seal.
. (6) Fill the clearance between the access panel (1) edges and the wing skin with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side sticks.
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(7) Remove the safety barriers.
(1) Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side sticks.
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(7) Remove the safety barriers.
