CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
Subtask 57-51-37-860-053-A (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable zone 575(675).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable zone 575(675).
Subtask 57-51-37-420-056-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the access panel.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) If the access panel seal is damaged, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-960-001).
Subtask 57-51-37-420-057-B (1) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the access panel.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) If the access panel seal is damaged, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-960-001).
B. Installation of Access Panels 575KB(675KB), 575LB(675LB), 575MB(675MB)
(1) Install all panel inserts that have fallen out in the applicable holes with:
(a) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surface of the shim(s) (1) with the wing skin.
(b) Put the shim(s) (1) and the access panel (2) in position.
1 Use the shim(s) (1) as recorded in the removal procedure.
(c) Install the bolts (3) but do not tighten them. Make sure that you can move the access panel (2) sufficient to adjust its position.
(d) Set the access panel (2) so that:
.
(f) Fill the clearances around the edges of the access panel (2) with the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(3) For access panel 575LB (675LB):
(a) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surface of the shims (4), (5) and (6) with the wing skin.
(b) Put the shims (4), (5) and (6) and the access panel (8) in position.
1 Use the shims (4), (5) and (6) as recorded in the removal procedure.
(c) Install the bolts (7) but do not tighten them. Make sure that you can move the access panel (8) sufficient to adjust its position.
(d) Set the access panel (8) so that:
.
(f) Fill the clearances around the edges of the access panel (8) with the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(4) For access panel 575MB (675MB):
(a) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surface of the shim(s) (9) with the wing skin.
(b) Put the shim(s) (9) and the access panel (11) in position.
1 Use the shim(s) (9) as recorded in the removal procedure.
(c) Install the bolts (10) but do not tighten them. Make sure that you can move the access panel (11) sufficient to adjust its position.
(d) Set the access panel (11) so that:
.
(f) Fill the clearances around the edges of the access panel (11) with the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
5. Close-up(1) Install all panel inserts that have fallen out in the applicable holes with:
- Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) or Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 2 (Material No.05EML8) or Paste Adhesive-Epoxy Core Restoration - (Material No.13FBC6) .
(a) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surface of the shim(s) (1) with the wing skin.
(b) Put the shim(s) (1) and the access panel (2) in position.
1 Use the shim(s) (1) as recorded in the removal procedure.
(c) Install the bolts (3) but do not tighten them. Make sure that you can move the access panel (2) sufficient to adjust its position.
(d) Set the access panel (2) so that:
- Dimension V is 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) + 2.3 mm (0.0906 in.)/- 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.) along the full length of the access panel (2).
- Dimension X is 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.) + 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.)/- 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.) along the full width of the access panel (2).
- Dimension Y is 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) +/- 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full width of the access panel (2).
- Dimension Z is 0.0 mm (0.0000 in.) + 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full length of the access panel seal.
NOTE: If dimension Z is not in the limits, you must adjust the position of the access panel seal (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-960-001).
(e) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 0.45 and 0.4 m.daN (39.82 and 35.40 lbf.in )
. (f) Fill the clearances around the edges of the access panel (2) with the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) .
(3) For access panel 575LB (675LB):
(a) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surface of the shims (4), (5) and (6) with the wing skin.
(b) Put the shims (4), (5) and (6) and the access panel (8) in position.
1 Use the shims (4), (5) and (6) as recorded in the removal procedure.
(c) Install the bolts (7) but do not tighten them. Make sure that you can move the access panel (8) sufficient to adjust its position.
(d) Set the access panel (8) so that:
- Dimension V is 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) + 2.3 mm (0.0906 in.)/- 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.) along the full length of the access panel (8).
- Dimension X is 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.) + 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.)/- 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.) along the full width of the access panel (8).
- Dimension Z is 0.0 mm (0.0000 in.) + 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full length of the access panel seal.
NOTE: If dimension Z is not in the limits, you must adjust the position of the access panel seal (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-960-001).
(e) TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 0.45 and 0.4 m.daN (39.82 and 35.40 lbf.in )

(4) For access panel 575MB (675MB):
(a) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the mating surface of the shim(s) (9) with the wing skin.
(b) Put the shim(s) (9) and the access panel (11) in position.
1 Use the shim(s) (9) as recorded in the removal procedure.
(c) Install the bolts (10) but do not tighten them. Make sure that you can move the access panel (11) sufficient to adjust its position.
(d) Set the access panel (11) so that:
- Dimension V is 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) + 2.3 mm (0.0906 in.)/- 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.) along the full length of the access panel (11).
- Dimension W is 1.2 mm (0.0472 in.) +/- 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full width of the access panel (11).
- Dimension X is 4.0 mm (0.1575 in.) + 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.)/- 1.0 mm (0.0394 in.) along the full width of the access panel (11).
- Dimension Z is 0.0 mm (0.0000 in.) + 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the full length of the access panel seal.
NOTE: If dimension Z is not in the limits, you must adjust the position of the access panel seal (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-960-001).
(e) TORQUE the bolts (10) to between 0.45 and 0.4 m.daN (39.82 and 35.40 lbf.in )

Subtask 57-51-37-942-056-A
A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the safety barriers.
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the safety barriers.
