   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

   (2) Remove the applicable access panels:

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Removal of the Aileron Hinge Pins
   (1) One at a time, remove the five hinge pins from the LH aileron and replace them with the 98D27104004000 SLAVE PIN - AILERON (Ref. AMM TASK 27-14-41-000-001).
   (2) One at a time, remove the five hinge pins from the RH aileron and replace them with the 98D27104004000 SLAVE PIN - AILERON (Ref. AMM TASK 27-14-41-000-001).

B. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the hinge pins.

C. Inspection
   (1) Do a magnetic particle inspection of all the aileron hinge pins NTM 575120.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus Industrie.

D. Installation of the Aileron Hinge Pins
   (1) One at a time, remove the five slave bolts from each aileron and replace them with the hinge pins (Ref. AMM TASK 27-14-41-400-001).

   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
