WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-51-00-865-085-A (1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing at the forward fittings of flap track 2, zone 531(631).
(2) Remove the applicable fairing access panels from flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(a) For the left wing: 531AB and 531BB
(b) For the right wing: 631AB and 631BB.
Subtask 57-51-00-010-071-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing at the forward fittings of flap track 2, zone 531(631).
(2) Remove the applicable fairing access panels from flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(a) For the left wing: 531AB and 531BB
(b) For the right wing: 631AB and 631BB.
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing at the forward fittings of flap track 2, zone 531(631).
(2) Remove the applicable fairing access panels from flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(a) For the left wing: 531EB
(b) For the right wing: 631EB.
Subtask 57-51-00-110-085-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing at the forward fittings of flap track 2, zone 531(631).
(2) Remove the applicable fairing access panels from flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(a) For the left wing: 531EB
(b) For the right wing: 631EB.
D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
Subtask 57-51-00-280-053-A
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (HFEC) of the bottom-skin lower surface of the outer wing, aft of the rear spar. Do this inspection around the forward fittings of flap track 2 for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 575164.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
Subtask 57-51-00-910-051-A (1) Do a special detailed inspection (HFEC) of the bottom-skin lower surface of the outer wing, aft of the rear spar. Do this inspection around the forward fittings of flap track 2 for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 575164.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:

B. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) If the NTM procedure told to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant ( SRM 512400) or paint ( SRM 512300) on the inspection area.

Subtask 57-51-00-410-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Install the applicable fairing access panels on flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):
(a) For the left wing: 531AB and 531BB
(b) For the right wing: 631AB and 631BB.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 57-51-00-410-072-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the applicable fairing access panels on flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):
(a) For the left wing: 531AB and 531BB
(b) For the right wing: 631AB and 631BB.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
A. Close Access
(1) Install the applicable fairing access panels on flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004):
(a) For the left wing: 531EB
(b) For the right wing: 631EB.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 57-51-00-865-086-A (1) Install the applicable fairing access panels on flap track 2 fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004):
(a) For the left wing: 531EB
(b) For the right wing: 631EB.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
