Detailed Inspection of Outer-Wing Flap-Track-Beams 2, 3, 4 Aft-Spigot
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is ALL. To know if this task is applicable for your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability and the weight variant data given in the SRM introduction.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the control lever.

(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the control lever.
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at the flap tracks 2, 3 and 4, zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(a) For the flap track 2,:

4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at the flap tracks 2, 3 and 4, zones 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(a) For the flap track 2,:

CAUTION:

Subtask 57-26-00-110-060-A - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the aft spigot of the applicable flap track beam.
Subtask 57-26-00-280-054-A (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the aft spigot of the applicable flap track beam.
B. Detailed Inspection of Outer-Wing Flap-Track-Beams 2, 3, 4 Aft-Spigot
(1) TORQUE the nut of the aft spigot to between 1.21 and 0.99 m.daN (107.08 and 87.61 lbf.in )

(2) Make sure that the nut of the aft spigot does not turn.
5. Close-up(1) TORQUE the nut of the aft spigot to between 1.21 and 0.99 m.daN (107.08 and 87.61 lbf.in )
. (2) Make sure that the nut of the aft spigot does not turn.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572600 or the flap track beam CMM 575141 for the correct repair procedure.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable flap track fairing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(4) On the servocontrol, make sure that the pointer on the hex. head is opposite the letter 'O' on the housing.
Subtask 57-26-00-942-061-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(4) On the servocontrol, make sure that the pointer on the hex. head is opposite the letter 'O' on the housing.
D. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
