- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) ON THE INSPECTION AREA. IF YOU APPLY TPS ON THE INSPECTION AREA, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats and flaps control lever.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is correctly installed on the slats and flaps control lever.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable flap track fairing in Zone 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(3) Put the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF adjacent to the inspection area.
Subtask 57-26-00-010-066-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable flap track fairing in Zone 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(3) Put the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF adjacent to the inspection area.
D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable flap track fairing in Zone 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(3) Put the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF adjacent to the inspection area.
Subtask 57-26-00-110-064-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable flap track fairing in Zone 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(3) Put the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF adjacent to the inspection area.
E. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If the inspection area is not sufficiently clean, clean it with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer.
(4) If there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If the inspection area is not sufficiently clean, clean it with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer.
(4) If there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 57-26-00-200-050-A
A. Inspection
(1) Use the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF to do the inspection.
(2) Do a detailed inspection of the aft spigot of outer-wing flap-track beams 2, 3 and 4 (as far as visible) for damage or discontinuities.
(3) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Use the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF to do the inspection.
(2) Do a detailed inspection of the aft spigot of outer-wing flap-track beams 2, 3 and 4 (as far as visible) for damage or discontinuities.
(3) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage types, classification and corrective action.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is correctly removed from the slats and flaps control lever.
