   (3) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable flap track fairings, zones 531(631), 532 (632) and 533(633).
   (2) Remove the forward and aft fixed fairings from the No. 2, No.3, and No.4 flap track beams (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable flap track fairings, zones 531(631), 532 (632) and 533(633).
   (2) Remove the forward and aft fixed fairings from the No. 2, No.3, and No.4 flap track beams (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004).
4. Procedure
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
  • the catching bracket
  • the bearing bracket of each flap track beam.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer-Wing Bottom-Skin-Lower-Surface Forward-Attachment-Fitting for Flap-Track-Beams 2, 3 & 4
   (1) Examine the catching bracket and the bearing bracket of the flap track 2, 3 and 4 beams. Use an MIRROR - INSPECTION and a LIGHT SOURCE - HIGHPOWER. Make sure that:
  • there is no corrosion
  • there are no cracks
  • the nuts and safety devices are in the correct condition
  • the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572600 for the correct repair procedure.

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the forward and aft fixed fairings on the No. 2, No.3, and No.4 flap track beams (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the forward and aft fixed fairings on the No. 2, No.3, and No.4 flap track beams (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004).
