CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gears or the landing gear doors.
(3) Make sure that a ground lock sleeve is in position on each MLG lock stay actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
Subtask 57-26-00-010-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gears or the landing gear doors.
(3) Make sure that a ground lock sleeve is in position on each MLG lock stay actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Remove the bearing assembly of the MLG actuator attachment (Ref. AMM TASK 57-26-13-000-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the retraction actuator attachment bracket, zone 571 (671).
Subtask 57-26-00-010-064-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Remove the bearing assembly of the MLG actuator attachment (Ref. AMM TASK 57-26-13-000-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the retraction actuator attachment bracket, zone 571 (671).
B. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the retraction actuator attachment bracket, zone 571 (671).
4. Procedure(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the retraction actuator attachment bracket, zone 571 (671).
Subtask 57-26-00-110-062-A
A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 57-26-00-210-058-A (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
B. Detailed Inspection of Outer-Wing Rear-Spar-Aft-Face Retraction-Jack-Fitting
(1) Examine the MLG retraction-actuator attachment bracket. Make sure that:

- there is no damage
- there is no corrosion
- there are no cracks
- the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572600 for the correct repair procedure.
C. Application of Temporary Protection System (TPS)
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(1) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001): NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. If, after the check, you think that the TPS layer is in the correct condition, you can apply a new layer as a spray on the remaining layer.
(2) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001) and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing & Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ADB1) : - To the retraction jack fitting of the aft-face rear spar in the outer wing (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
- Removal of the TPS layer
or - Cleaning of the inspection area with high pressure water, steam, solvents and/or cleaning agents.
Subtask 57-26-00-410-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the bearing assembly of the MLG actuator attachment (Ref. AMM TASK 57-26-13-400-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 57-26-00-410-065-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the bearing assembly of the MLG actuator attachment (Ref. AMM TASK 57-26-13-400-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
