Removal of the Bearing Assembly of the MLG Actuator Attachment

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Install the safety devices on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001) and the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the landing gear doors.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable main landing gear bay, zone 571 or 671.
   (2) Remove the applicable MLG actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-46-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 57-26-13-020-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Bearing Assembly
   (1) Use a SPATULA - PLASTIC to remove the sealant from around:
  • The special nut (5), the bearing assembly (1) and the special washer (2).
   (2) Disengage the tab washer (4) from the special nut (5).
   (3) Use the 98D57004081000 SPANNER-R I BEARING to remove the special nut (5).
   (4) Remove and discard the tab washer (4).
   (5) Remove the bearing assembly (1) and the special washer (2) from the actuator attachment bracket.
   (6) If installed, remove the spacer washer as installed in the SRM 572613.
Subtask 57-26-13-020-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Bearing Assembly
   (1) Use a SPATULA - PLASTIC to remove the sealant from around:
  • The special nut (6), the bearing assembly (1) and the special washer (2).
   (2) Disengage the tab washer (5) from the special nut (6).
   (3) Use the 98D57004081000 SPANNER-R I BEARING to remove the special nut (6).
   (4) Remove and discard the tab washer (5).
   (5) Remove and discard the interface washer (4).
   (6) Remove the bearing assembly (1) and the special washer (2) from the actuator attachment bracket.
   (7) If installed, remove the spacer washer as installed in the SRM 572613.
