A. Safety Precautions
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-21-00-650-102-A WARNING:
OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001). (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
Subtask 57-21-00-010-100-A (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position:
(a) For the left wing, below zone 550.
(b) For the right wing, below zone 650.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001):
(a) For the left wing, remove 550CB.
(b) For the right wing, remove 650CB.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position:
(a) For the left wing, below zone 550.
(b) For the right wing, below zone 650.
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-000-001):
(a) For the left wing, remove 550CB.
(b) For the right wing, remove 650CB.

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable inspection area.

B. Special Detailed Inspection (US) of Front Spar Joint at RIB 24, Aft Face
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area NTM 572172.
5. Close-up(1) Examine the applicable inspection area NTM 572172.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.
Subtask 57-21-00-410-092-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-400-002):
(a) For the left wing, install 550CB.
(b) For the right wing, install 650CB.
Subtask 57-21-00-650-103-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-45-400-002):
(a) For the left wing, install 550CB.
(b) For the right wing, install 650CB.
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003) or transfer fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) as necessary.
Subtask 57-21-00-942-103-A (1) Refuel (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003) or transfer fuel (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-869-001) as necessary.
C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
