A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 210, in front of the sliding window.
(2) Open the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-010-001).

A. Inspection
(1) For the acrylic sliding windows (GKN supplier, P/N NH...) and the glass sliding windows (PPG supplier, P/N NP...):
(b) Make sure that there are no cracks and blisters on the seal.
(2) For the glass sliding windows (SPS supplier, P/N SPS...):
(b) Make sure that there are no cracks and blisters on the seal.
(d) If you find damage, replace the preformed seal (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-400-003).
5. Close-up(1) For the acrylic sliding windows (GKN supplier, P/N NH...) and the glass sliding windows (PPG supplier, P/N NP...):
NOTE: The sliding window must be open to do this inspection.
(a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the seal of the sliding window for damage or discontinuities. (b) Make sure that there are no cracks and blisters on the seal.
NOTE: It is permitted to fly with a damaged pressure seal (all types of damage) with no time limit. This is possible only if there is no pressure leak which causes an unsatisfactory noise level for the crew in the cockpit.
(c) If you find damage, replace the retainer/gasket assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-000-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-400-004). (2) For the glass sliding windows (SPS supplier, P/N SPS...):
NOTE: The sliding window must be open to do this inspection.
(a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the seal of the sliding window for damage or discontinuities. (b) Make sure that there are no cracks and blisters on the seal.
NOTE: It is permitted to fly with a damaged pressure seal (all types of damage) with no time limit. This is possible only if there is no pressure leak which causes an unsatisfactory noise level for the crew in the cockpit.
(c) Examine the frame in the seal area. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the seal to examine the frame.
1 If you find damage, repair the frame (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-300-802). (d) If you find damage, replace the preformed seal (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-400-003).

(1) Close the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
