A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Lightly rub the retainer area (41) which contains the seal (40) with a SCOTCHBRITE.
(2) Clean the surfaces and remove the grease with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Lightly rub the seal surfaces which touch the retainer (41).
(4) On the surfaces of the seal (40), apply:
(a) Contact Adhesive-Rubber & Plastic Bonding Neoprene base - (Material No.05JBC9) for the seal P/N D531112462xx (Black color).
(b) Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) for the seal P/N D53111248200 or D531200002xx (Light gray color).
(5) Let the adhesive compound become almost dry.
Subtask 56-12-11-420-055-A (1) Lightly rub the retainer area (41) which contains the seal (40) with a SCOTCHBRITE.
(2) Clean the surfaces and remove the grease with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Lightly rub the seal surfaces which touch the retainer (41).
(4) On the surfaces of the seal (40), apply:
(a) Contact Adhesive-Rubber & Plastic Bonding Neoprene base - (Material No.05JBC9) for the seal P/N D531112462xx (Black color).
(b) Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) for the seal P/N D53111248200 or D531200002xx (Light gray color).
(5) Let the adhesive compound become almost dry.
B. Installation of the Seal
(1) Put the seal (40) in position.
(2) Put a strong force on the seal (40) for 30 minutes.
(3) Make sure that there is no remaining adhesive compound on the retainer.
(4) Make sure that the external lip of the seal (40) moves freely around the retainer (41).
Subtask 56-12-11-210-062-A (1) Put the seal (40) in position.
(2) Put a strong force on the seal (40) for 30 minutes.
(3) Make sure that there is no remaining adhesive compound on the retainer.
(4) Make sure that the external lip of the seal (40) moves freely around the retainer (41).
C. Sealing Check
(1) Close the sliding window.
(2) Apply water to the periphery of the sliding window from the outside of the aircraft.
(3) Wait ten minutes and make sure that there is no water leakage at level of the window frame.
(4) If water goes into the cockpit, make sure that the adjustments are correct and that the seal is in the correct condition.
(5) Dry if necessary.
5. Close-up(1) Close the sliding window.
(2) Apply water to the periphery of the sliding window from the outside of the aircraft.
(3) Wait ten minutes and make sure that there is no water leakage at level of the window frame.
(4) If water goes into the cockpit, make sure that the adjustments are correct and that the seal is in the correct condition.
(5) Dry if necessary.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
