Subtask 54-57-22-941-104-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).
Subtask 54-57-22-010-093-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, in zone 415.
     (b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.
   (2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002).
     (a) For the left pylon : 413AL and 413AR.
     (b) For the right pylon : 423AL and 423AR.
   (3) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
   (4) Disconnect the electrical connectors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-51-43-000-001).
   (5) Remove the bolts (2) and lift the plate (3) carefully.
   (6) If necessary, remove the clamps (4) to release the electrical harness.
4. Procedure
Subtask 54-57-22-020-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Forward Apron Assembly
   (1) Remove the screws (5).
   (2) Remove the screws (6) and the nuts (7).
   (3) Remove the bolts (8) and the nuts (7).
   (4) Remove the bolts (8) and the washers (9).
   (5) Remove carrefully the forward apron assembly (1).
   (6) If necessary, loosen the bolts (10) and the nuts (11).
