A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

WARNING: OPEN THE PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DA1(2), 3DA1(2,3), 4DA1(2,3) AND 5DA1(2,3) BEFORE ENG1(2)FADEC A and EIU 1(2) C/B'S 2KS1 AND 2KS2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
  • THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
  • THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.

   (1) Open the fan cowls: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)
   (2) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

   (4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure
Subtask 71-51-43-020-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Left Side Harness
NOTE: To open the flip-lock clamps and line blocks, turn the captive screws or captive bolts 1/4 turn counterclockwise to disengage the cam nuts.
NOTE: Loosely attach the clamp(s), anti-rotation lug(s) if applicable, and bolt(s) to the brackets from which they were removed to make it easier for installation.
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector 447VC-A from the pylon junction box.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connector 4005VC from the electrical connector 4005VC-A.
   (3) Open the line blocks (10) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 167.
   (4) If necessary, remove the rubber supports from the line blocks (10).
   (5) Remove the harness (5) from the rubber supports.
   (6) Open the line block (10) that attaches the harness to the bracket at station 174, at the top left side of the engine.

   (7) Open the line block (15) that attaches the harness (5) to the bracket at station 176.
   (8) Open the line block (20) that attaches the harness (5) to the brackets at station 185.
   (9) If necessary, remove the rubber supports from the line blocks (10), (15) and (20) and remove the harness (5).

CONFIG-1

   (10) Open the 1 flip-lock clamp (30), the 3 flip-lock clamps (35), the 1 flip-lock clamp (45) and the line block (40) along station 191.

CONFIG-2

   (11) Open the 2 flip-lock clamps (25), 2 flip-lock clamps (35), 1 flip-lock clamp (45) and the line block (40) along station 191.

END CONFIG-2

   (12) Remove the harness (5) from the line block rubber support and the flip-lock clamps.
   (13) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000EL-A from the fuel filter differential pressure switch.
   (14) Disconnect the electrical connector 4003EN-A from the oil pressure transmitter.
   (15) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000EN-A from the low oil pressure switch.
   (16) Open the flip-lock clamp (30) and remove the harness (5).
   (17) Cut the fiberglass tying tape from the ground wires, as necessary.
   (18) Remove the nuts (60), lockwashers (65) and washers (70) that attach the ground wires to the ground studs at station 191.

   (19) Open the line block (55) that attaches the harness to the bracket at station 167.
   (20) Open the line blocks (40) and (50) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 158.
   (21) Disconnect the electrical connector 1074GK-A or 3074GD-A, as applicable, from the hydraulic pressure caution switch.

   (22) Cut the fiberglass tying tape from the harness (5), where it has a divide, in the area shown.

   (23) Disconnect the harness (5) electrical connector from the adapter on the bracket.
   (24) Remove the nut, bolt, washer and clamps (11) that attach the jumper harness (12) to the hydraulic suction hose.
   (25) Remove the jumper harness (12).

   (26) Open the flip-lock clamp (30) and remove the harness (5).
   (27) Cut the fiberglass tying tape from the ground wires, as necessary.
   (28) Remove the nuts (60), lockwashers (65) and washers (70) that attach the ground wires to the ground studs at station 158.

   (29) Disconnect the electrical connector 4007EN-A from the oil chip detector.
   (30) Disconnect the electrical connector 4002EN-A from the oil quantity transmitter.
   (31) Open the line blocks (40) and (55) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 199.
   (32) Open the line block (40) that attaches the harness (5) to the bracket at station 191.
   (33) If necessary, remove the rubber supports from the line blocks.
   (34) Remove the harness (5) from the rubber supports.
   (35) Remove the bolt (75) and the clamp (80) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket on station 199.
   (36) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000KC-A from the high pressure fuel shutoff.
   (37) Open the line blocks (50), (55) and the flip-lock clamp (105) along station 158.
   (38) Remove the harness (5) from the line blocks (50) and (55) rubber supports and the flip-lock clamp (105).

AFTER SPIB NO. CFM02255MW1

   (39) Remove the clamps and bolt (17) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 176.
   (40) Remove the clamps and bolt (22) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 185.
   (41) If necessary, remove the rubber supports from the line block (10) and remove the harness (5).
   (42) Open the flip-lock clamp (32) at station 191.
   (43) Remove the nuts, bolts and clamps (32) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 191.
   (44) Remove the bolt and clamp (42) and (47) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 191.
   (45) Remove the harness (5) from the flip-lock clamps.
   (46) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000EL-A from the fuel filter differential pressure switch.
   (47) Disconnect the electrical connector 4003EN-A from the oil pressure transmitter.
   (48) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000EN-A from the low oil pressure switch.
   (49) Open the flip-lock clamp (30) and remove the harness (5).
   (50) Cut the fiberglass tying tape from the ground wires, as necessary.
   (50) Remove the nuts (60), lockwashers (65) and washers (70) that attach the ground wires to the ground studs at station 191.

   (51) Remove the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (57) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 167.
   (52) Remove the bolts, clamps and anti-rotation lugs (43) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 158.
   (53) Remove the bolts and clamp (33) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at the station 158.
   (54) Disconnect the electrical connector 1074GK-A or 3074GD-A, as applicable, from the hydraulic pressure caution switch and remove the harness (5).

   (55) Cut the fiberglass tying tape from the harness (5), where it has a divide, in the area shown.

   (56) Disconnect the harness (5) electrical connector from the adapter on the bracket.

   (62) Remove the nuts (60), lockwashers (65) and washers (70) that attach the ground wires to the ground studs at station 158.

   (64) Disconnect the electrical connector 4002EN-A from the oil quantity transmitter.
   (65) Open the line blocks (40) and (55) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets at station 199.
   (66) Remove the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (49) that attach the harness(5) to the bracket at station 199.
   (67) Open the line block (40) that attaches the harness (5) to the bracket at station 191.
   (68) If necessary, remove the rubber supports from the line blocks.
   (69) Remove the harness (5) from the rubber supports.
   (70) Remove the bolt (75) and clamp (80) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 199.
   (71) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000KC-A from the high pressure fuel shutoff.
   (72) Open the line blocks (50) and (55) at station 158.
   (73) Remove the bolt, clamps and anti-rotation lug (58) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 158.
   (74) Remove the bolt and clamp (107) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 158.
   (75) Remove the harness (5) from the line blocks (50) and (55) rubber supports.

   (76) Remove the bolt (95) and the clamp (100) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket at station 158.
   (77) Remove the bolt (75), the nut (85) and the clamp (90) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket on the gearbox.
   (78) Disconnect the electrical connector 4004EN-A from the oil temperature sensor.
   (79) Disconnect the electrical connector 4001EN-A from the oil differential pressure switch.
   (80) Disconnect the electrical connector 1030GK-A or 3030GD-A, as applicable, from the hydraulic pump bypass valve.
   (81) Remove the electrical harness (5) from the engine.
   (82) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors.
