A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-51-21-040-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).

MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-21-010-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 420.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, at zone 420.

A. Reactivation of the Pylon Lateral Access-Door
(1) Remove the high-speed tape from the cutout of the access door.
(2) Install applicable access door 415AL, 415AR, 425AL or 425AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001).
5. Close-up(1) Remove the high-speed tape from the cutout of the access door.
(2) Install applicable access door 415AL, 415AR, 425AL or 425AR (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001).
