Subtask 49-71-13-860-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the ON position.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SPEED SENSOR, MAKE SURE TO WEAR PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. HOT OIL SPILLED FROM THE APU CAN CAUSE YOU INJURY.

(1) Do a check of the APU oil level (Ref. AMM TASK 49-90-00-600-007).
Subtask 49-71-13-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a check of the APU oil level (Ref. AMM TASK 49-90-00-600-007).
NOTE: An over-serviced APU can spill oil when the speed sensor is removed.
B. Removal of the Speed Sensor
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the nut (5) and remove the speed sensor (2).
(4) Remove and discard the O-rings (3) and (4).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the nut (5) and remove the speed sensor (2).
(4) Remove and discard the O-rings (3) and (4).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
