Subtask 49-32-13-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
   (3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
   (6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
   (7) Make sure that the LIGHT SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 49-32-13-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Flow Divider
CAUTION: YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
CAUTION: -YOU MUST NOT INCREASE THE TIGHTENING TORQUE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM VALUE.
  • APPLY ALL TIGHTENING TORQUES WITH A TORQUE WRENCH OR A CALIBRATED SCREWDRIVER.
   (1) If the VSB 49-7739 is not incorporated:
     (a) Remove the blanking caps from the flow divider (1).
     (b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (d) Lubricate the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-060 O-RING (7) with Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
     (e) Install the new O-ring (7) on the union (8).
     (f) Install the union (8) into the solenoid (17) on side nearest the master key.
     (g) Lubricate the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-060 O-RING (4) and the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-100 RETAINER RING (3) with Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
     (h) Install the nut (2), the new retainer ring (3) and the new O-ring (4) on the flow divider (1).
     (i) Install the flow divider (1) into the solenoid (17) on the side furthest from the master key.
     (j) Put the flow divider (1), the solenoid (17) and the union (8) in position on the APU.
     (k) Install the clamp (10) and the bolt (11) on the support (13).
     (l) TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in ) T.
     (m) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (n) Connect the secondary manifold fuel pipe (9) to the union (8).
     (o) Loosely connect the primary manifold fuel pipe (15) to the flow divider (1).
     (p) Loosely connect the main fuel feed pipe (16) to the flow divider (1).
     (q) Hold the flow divider (1) in position and tighten the nut (2).
     (r) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 147 and 133 lbf.in (1.66 and 1.50 m.daN )
T.
     (s) Hold the union (8) in position and tighten it.
     (t) TORQUE the union (8) to between 147 and 133 lbf.in (1.66 and 1.50 m.daN )
T.
     (u) Tighten the primary manifold fuel pipe (15).
     (v) TORQUE the primary manifold fuel pipe (15) to between 111.1 and 90.9 lbf.in (1.26 and 1.03 m.daN )
T.
     (w) Tighten the main fuel feed pipe (16) and the secondary manifold fuel pipe (9).
     (x) TORQUE the secondary manifold fuel pipe (9) and main fuel feed pipe (16) to between 147 and 133 lbf.in (1.66 and 1.50 m.daN )
T.
     (y) Install the bonding lead (6) on the solenoid (17) with the bolt (14) and the nut (5).
     (z) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (aa) Connect the electrical connector (12) to the solenoid (17).
   (2) If the VSB 49-7739 is incorporated:
     (a) Remove the blanking caps from the flow divider (1).
     (b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (d) Lubricate the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-060 O-RING (4) or AIPC 49-32-84-30-150 O-RING (4) and the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-120 RETAINER RING (3) or AIPC 49-32-84-30-140 RETAINER RING (3) with Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
     (e) Install the nut (2), the new retainer ring (3) and the new O-ring (4) on the check valve (7).
     (f) Install the check valve (7) into the solenoid (9) on side nearest the master key.
     (g) Lubricate the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-060 O-RING (19) or AIPC 49-32-84-30-150 O-RING (19) and the new AIPC 49-32-09-02-120 RETAINER RING (18) or AIPC 49-32-84-30-140 RETAINER RING (18) with Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
     (h) Install the nut (17), the new retainer ring (18) and the new O-ring (19) on the flow divider (1).
     (i) Install the flow divider (1) into the solenoid (9) on the side furthest from the master key.
     (j) Put the flow divider (1), the solenoid (9) and the check valve (7) in position on the APU.
     (k) Install the clamp (10) and the bolt (11) on the support (13).
     (l) TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in ) T
     (m) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (n) Connect the secondary manifold fuel pipe (8) to the check valve (7).
     (o) Loosely connect the primary manifold fuel pipe (14) to the flow divider (1).
     (p) Loosely connect the main fuel feed pipe (15) to the flow divider (1).
     (q) Hold the flow divider (1) in position and tighten the nut (17).
     (r) TORQUE the nut (17) to between 147 and 133 lbf.in (1.66 and 1.50 m.daN )
T.
     (s) Hold the check valve (7) in position and tighten the nut (2).
     (t) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 147 and 133 lbf.in (1.66 and 1.50 m.daN )
T.
     (u) Tighten the primary manifold fuel pipe (14).
     (v) TORQUE the primary manifold fuel pipe (14) to between 111.1 and 90.9 lbf.in (1.26 and 1.03 m.daN )
T.
     (w) Tighten the main fuel feed pipe (15) and the secondary manifold fuel pipe (8).
     (x) TORQUE the secondary manifold fuel pipe (8) and main fuel feed pipe (15) to between 147 and 133 lbf.in (1.66 and 1.50 m.daN )
T.
     (y) Install the bonding lead (6) on the solenoid (9) with the bolt (16) and the nut (5).
     (z) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (aa) Connect the electrical connector (12) to the solenoid.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

Subtask 49-32-13-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-710-010).
   (1) Operate the APU for min. five minutes and examine the joints of the flow divider for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
5. Close-up
Subtask 49-32-13-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
