A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Obey the Fuel Safety Precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
   (3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
   (6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 49-23-51-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) - Actuator
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Install the rod end (7) on the IGV actuator (5).
   (5) TORQUE the rod end (7) to between 0.374 and 0.306 m.daN (33.10 and 27.08 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Attach the IGV actuator (5) to the IGV actuation rod (8).
   (7) Install the washer (14) and the captive bolt (10).
   (8) TORQUE the captive bolt (10) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )
T.
   (9) Install the IGV actuator (5) to the APU with the bolts (13) and the washers (12).
   (10) TORQUE the bolts (13) to between 1.49 and 1.23 m.daN (131.86 and 108.85 lbf.in )
T.
   (11) Apply a thin layer of Turbine Fuel-- Wide-cut - (Material No.
01ABC1) or Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene High Flash Point - (Material No.01ABB1) to the new AIPC 49-21-09-02-150 O-RINGS (4), AIPC 49-21-09-02-200 O-RINGS (15) and AIPC 49-21-09-02-130 O-RINGS (17).
   (12) Put the new:
   (13) Put the fuel pipes (3), (16) and (18) in correct position into the IGV actuator (5).
   (14) Turn the captive plate (2) into position on the fuel pipes (3) and (18) and connect the captive bolts (1).
   (15) TORQUE the captive bolts (1) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )
T.
   (16) Turn cover (11) into position and tighten the bolts (9).
   (17) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )
T.
   (18) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connection and connect the electrical connection (6).

A. Installation of the Inlet Guide Vane (IGV) - Actuator
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

01ABC1) or Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene High Flash Point - (Material No.01ABB1) to the new AIPC 49-21-09-02-150 O-RINGS (4), AIPC 49-21-09-02-200 O-RINGS (15) and AIPC 49-21-09-02-130 O-RINGS (17).
   (12) Put the new:
   (13) Put the fuel pipes (3), (16) and (18) in correct position into the IGV actuator (5).
   (14) Turn the captive plate (2) into position on the fuel pipes (3) and (18) and install the bolts (1).
   (15) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )
T.
   (16) Turn cover (11) into position and tighten the bolts (9).
   (17) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 0.627 and 0.513 m.daN (55.49 and 45.40 lbf.in )
T.
   (18) Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connection and connect the electrical connection (6).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Examine the IGV actuator and the fuel pipes for the fuel leaks.
NOTE: No leaks are permitted.

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

   (1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
