A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-17-41-865-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(4) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(5) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(4) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(5) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.
Subtask 49-17-41-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Drain Tank
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make an inspection of the drain tank (9) for damage, dents , chafings and cracks. Install a new drain tank if necessary.
(4) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surfaces of the drain tank (9).
(5) Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
(6) Put the drain tank (9) between the brackets (7) on the air intake diffuser (8).
(7) Apply the Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) or Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the screws (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (10).
(8) Install the screws (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (10). Do not fully tighten the screws.
(9) Install the spring adapters (1) with the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
Subtask 49-17-41-420-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make an inspection of the drain tank (9) for damage, dents , chafings and cracks. Install a new drain tank if necessary.
(4) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surfaces of the drain tank (9).

(8) Install the screws (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (10). Do not fully tighten the screws.
(9) Install the spring adapters (1) with the washers (2) and the nuts (3).

(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make an inspection of the drain tank (9) for damage, dents , chafings and cracks. Install a new drain tank if necessary.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surfaces of the drain tank (9).
(5) Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
(6) Put the drain tank (9) between the brackets (7) on the air intake diffuser (8).
(7) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the screws (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (10).
(8) Install the screws (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (10). Do not fully tighten the screws.
(9) Install the spring adapters (1) with the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
C. Adjustment
(1) Adjust the drain tank/spring adapter assembly:
(a) Connect the APU drain lines (4) to the spring adapters (1).
(b) Adjust the preload of the spring adapters (1) with the nut (3) until the dimension C is 48.0 mm (1.8898 in.).
(2) Fully tighten the screws (6) and the nuts (10).
(3) Connect and tighten the nuts (4) to the drain lines.
5. Close-up(1) Adjust the drain tank/spring adapter assembly:
(a) Connect the APU drain lines (4) to the spring adapters (1).
(b) Adjust the preload of the spring adapters (1) with the nut (3) until the dimension C is 48.0 mm (1.8898 in.).
(2) Fully tighten the screws (6) and the nuts (10).
(3) Connect and tighten the nuts (4) to the drain lines.
Subtask 49-17-41-410-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access door 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-17-41-865-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3) Close the APU access door 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
