A. Safety Precautions
(1) Obey the Fuel Safety Procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-00-00-865-078-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Obey the Fuel Safety Procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the on position.
Subtask 49-00-00-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the on position.
D. Prepare the APU for Purge.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector P10 from the ignition unit.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Put the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the primary fuel manifold.
(4) Disconnect the primary fuel-feed pipe at the primary fuel manifold.
(5) Make sure that the APU intake and exhaust blanking plugs are removed.
Subtask 49-00-00-865-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the electrical connector P10 from the ignition unit.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Put the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the primary fuel manifold.
(4) Disconnect the primary fuel-feed pipe at the primary fuel manifold.
(5) Make sure that the APU intake and exhaust blanking plugs are removed.
E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Fuel System Purge
(1) On the panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW to the ON position.
(2) On the panel 25VU, push the APU START switch to the ON position.
(4) Cancel the motoring cycle when the fuel flow from the disconnected fuel pipe is free of air and/or oil.
(5) On the panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW to the OFF position.
Subtask 49-00-00-865-080-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW to the ON position.
(2) On the panel 25VU, push the APU START switch to the ON position.
NOTE: To cancel the motoring cycle, push the APU MASTER SW to the OFF position.
(3) The starter motor de-energizes after approximately 30 seconds. (4) Cancel the motoring cycle when the fuel flow from the disconnected fuel pipe is free of air and/or oil.
(5) On the panel 25VU, push the APU MASTER SW to the OFF position.

A. Ignition Unit and Fuel System Reactivation
(1) Connect the primary fuel-feed pipe at the primary fuel manifold.
(2) Remove the waste fuel container.
(3) Remove the blanking cap from the ignition unit.
(4) Connect the electrical connector P10 to the ignition unit.
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 49-00-00-410-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Connect the primary fuel-feed pipe at the primary fuel manifold.
(2) Remove the waste fuel container.
(3) Remove the blanking cap from the ignition unit.
(4) Connect the electrical connector P10 to the ignition unit.
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
B. Close Access
(1) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 49-00-00-865-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
