Removal of the Pressure Indicating Tubes
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shut down occured not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:

(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
- make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on),
- make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off),
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off,
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the engine.

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the engine.
D. Deactivate the Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Control Unit
Subtask 36-21-49-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). E. Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):

Subtask 36-21-49-020-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pressure Indicating Tubes
(1) Remove the support clips, the bolts and the spacers from the tubes (4) and (5). Write the positions where the removed items were installed. They must be installed in the same positions.
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire which safeties the tube connections.
(3) Disconnect and remove the tubes (4) and (5).
(4) Put applicable COVER - PROTECTION on all disconnected tube ends.
Subtask 36-21-49-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the support clips, the bolts and the spacers from the tubes (4) and (5). Write the positions where the removed items were installed. They must be installed in the same positions.
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire which safeties the tube connections.
(3) Disconnect and remove the tubes (4) and (5).
(4) Put applicable COVER - PROTECTION on all disconnected tube ends.
B. Removal of the Pressure Indicating Tubes (PRE SB36-1040, PRE SBN36-0007)
(1) Remove the support clips, bolts, nuts, spacers, sleeve and washers from the tubes (3), (4), (5), (6) and (8). Write the positions where the removed items were installed. They must be installed in the same positions.
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire which safeties the tube connections.
(3) Disconnect and remove the tubes (3), (4), (5), (6) and (8).
(4) Put an applicable COVER - PROTECTION on all the disconnected tube ends.
Subtask 36-21-49-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the support clips, bolts, nuts, spacers, sleeve and washers from the tubes (3), (4), (5), (6) and (8). Write the positions where the removed items were installed. They must be installed in the same positions.
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire which safeties the tube connections.
(3) Disconnect and remove the tubes (3), (4), (5), (6) and (8).
(4) Put an applicable COVER - PROTECTION on all the disconnected tube ends.
C. Removal of the Pressure Indicating Tubes (POST SB36-1040, POST SBN36-0007)
(1) Remove the support clips, the bolts and the spacers from the tubes (4) and (5). Write the positions where the removed items were installed. They must be installed in the same positions.
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire which safeties the tube connections.
(3) Disconnect and remove the tubes (4) and (5).
(4) Put an applicable COVER - PROTECTION on all the disconnected tube ends.
(1) Remove the support clips, the bolts and the spacers from the tubes (4) and (5). Write the positions where the removed items were installed. They must be installed in the same positions.
(2) Cut and discard the lockwire which safeties the tube connections.
